Weekday Wedding Question (12/12/12)

Hello everyone!!!

Our wedding will be on 12.12.12.  Since it's a Wednesday, we already anticipate that attendance may be a challenge for some people, however, since it's a date that only happens once every 100 years- perhaps people will 'understand'. 

Would you automatically schedule an intimate affair and invite the very close friends and family or plan it as a larger event and start sending in STD in order to get a feel?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Brandyb1984- I haven't let anyone know about the date yet, so I don't know what to tell you either, lol.

I also was interested in getting marrie d12.12.12, (and its cheaper because its a wednesday.) however our anniversary is NYE (which is much more expensive) so I settled on 12.30.12. and im actually going to put deposit down this weekend. hmmm. i cant decide the 30th or the 12th.

    Hi, Renee!
    I'm getting married on December 18th, 2012. It's a Tuesday and exactly one week before Christmas. So, I understand where you're coming from. What I'm doing is sending out STDs/invitations 6 months in advance, so that everyone will have time to ask off of work and make arrangements. If they can come, great. If they can't, I'll have time to change plans accordingly. Hope this helps. :)

    Thanks, Haley!  That sure did help!!!  Are you inviting everyone, as in, if it was a weekend or are you only inviting a smaller amount of people?

    I'm a 12/12/12 bride also. I started planning my wedding as an intimate affair as I though the midweek destination wedding would off set the guest list anyways. I was wrong lol and I've had to change venues already. Send out your save the dates and start talking with your family to get a feel for the size of your guest list.

    We are getting married 12/12/12 as well. We are going to Hawaii then coming back to MN home having our reception on New Year's Eve!!! This way the Wednesday thing doesn't get in the way plus no wedding drama with families, etc!

    I am getting Married Tuesday December 18th 2012. Our wedding will be intimate, but it does make sense to just send out some Save the dates and see what the response is :)))
