DC Area - Outside Caterers

Has anyone had luck finding a venue in the DC area that allows outside catering or that will prepare a vegetarian Indian meal?  Thanks in advance!

    The majority of hotels we called either allowed us to bring in an Indian caterer or brought in an Indian caterer on their own. The only places I recall that cooked it themselves were the Renaissance Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental (whose chef trained in India). So I'd just call around and specifically ask this question.

    Also, many venues only do outside catering rather than providing their own. I suggest looking at the Washingtonian.com wedding website at the list of non-hotel venues.

    Pretty much all the hotels I called made an exception to their "no outside caterer" rules for Indian and Kosher food. Some of them only let you use their preferred caterer, others only required $x insurance and a catering license. Not sure about other venues.
