Any other flowers to line the aisle?

So, judge me, but I am not a fan of roses.Its the one flower that I dont really want at the wedding - but I love the look of flowers lining the aisle, like gutters.Awhile ago, I saw a picture of an aisle that have different flowers, like stocks of lavender or something alnong the aisle, but I without the photo I am having trouble describing this look to my florist. She thinks rose petals are the way to go. Anyone have a photo of this of seen this done? Any what flowers were used? Were getting married in a garden - so I want it to look like handpicked, wildflower-ish...TIA!

Hmmm...I don't know that I have ever seen any other kind of flower petals lining an aisle. We had small arrangements at the end of certain rows, but that's different. If your florist isn't coming up with anything, would it be so bad to have rose petals, considering you'll technically never see actual roses? None of the other flowers have to be roses, and really, you're walking through them twice and then you never see them again.

Are you talking about lining the aisle on either side with flowers or lining the aisle where you walk?

Does she get that you want full flowers and not just petals? Maybe tell her it's like a flower garland. I love your idea and I can totally picture it in my head.

Oh...I thought you meant like a thick (but narrow) carpet of petals along either side of the aisle. Is that not what you mean?
