need help with hair

Hi everyone! I don't usually post on here, I mean I did months ago but I have not been on the knot in ages. I am getting married at Pat O'Brien's in Universal CityWalk on Halloween. I live in west palm beach though so I am having a very hard time finding someone to do my hair and my girl's hair within budget. I got estimates for like over $200 and that was just for me. My photographer recommended her hair stylist who was willing to charge us only $85 for me and $65 for my girls (this included travel to the Hard Rock Resort) I thought this was a very good price but my maid of honor and all the other women involved think it is too much. Does anyone have someone in mind for less or should I tell them to hush? Also, I am not even sure if my photographers stylist is still available.Any and all suggestions welcomed! Thanks so much!xoxoKelly

Hey there! I used Melissa Dyer at Stella Luca salon (407-740-7005) and she was much less than $200! Give her a call and see if she is available.Happy planning!

I knew the $200 was outrageous, but the $85 for me I thought was good! Its really my girls that are giving me trouble and the price for them was only $65. I feel bad as it is bc everyone is having to travel to Orlando for the wedding, but it's not like I can go up there looking around for inexpensive hair stylists...Thanks!xoxoKelly

That is a really good price.  I would tell your bridesmaids to look around and see if they can find a better price. If not, ask them to either go to a different salon early in the morning for their hair or to do their own hair, maybe?

You can try Meghann Davis. Her # is 407-808-1643. She is reasonably priced, $30-60 for hairstyles, depending on how simple/intricate you want. GL!

Sounds like a pretty good price to me. They're not getting a haircut at Fantastic Sam's after all, they're getting a (probably) involved 'do that requires more concentration from the stylist than your average cut. I think even if they did go and get their hair did at Fantatsic Sam's they'd be looking at at something close to that.

Try Lisette with Headlines Salon. (orlandobridalhair.com) or headlinessalon.com or call her (407-579-4667). She owns two salons and does bridal hair as well I know for a fact that she does not charge more than $65 for updos and it is around $40 if you want your hair down. She is the owner of the company so she can work with you on prices. Tell her Liz sent you and she will hook you up!

I think that is a decent price. If they are REALLY on a budget, you could have them try the Paul Mitchell school in Casselberry. They're like $10 for a wash, cut and style, so I imagine just a style would be around the same price.  I go there sometimes to get my hair cut and they've always done a great job with me, but of course, they are students, and they tend to take a really long time. So if money is the issue and they don't mind having their hair done by students (which a lot of people do), then that could be an option.
