nwr: Boulder/Pearl Street

my fiance finally has a weekend off! He's lived in Colorado (FC and Denver) for about 6 years now but has never been to Pearl Street in Boulder, and I haven't been there in years...is it still just walk around and admire the street musicians and end of the world predictors and cute little shops? any recommendations? and where's the best parking?thanks ladies!

Wow- Yeah I don't go all that often, but that is a long time! It is all still there. :) I know that on Saturdays and Sundays there are free parking garages near the west end. I think there is one block north of Pearl west of Broadway.

we are supposed to have great weather this weekend too! i suggest something with a rooftop. The Rio has a great rooftop patio or Brasserie Ten Ten has outside dining as well and is a little on the more on the higher end. there are a ton of places...i say just walk around, explore and you will find something. not sure if the Farmer's Market is still going on this late in the year but that would be great to check out as well.have fun!!veronica

A couple of my favorite places in Boulder (around Pearl street) is the Peppercorn Store (whether that is a good place to take your FI I'm not sure.....it is a specialty kitchen store :) ).  My favorite restaurant is one called the Mediterranian ("The Med").  It is around 11th and Walnut I believe (right across the street from Brasserie Ten Ten).  The other ladies gave excellent suggestions as well :)  Have fun!

The Med is fabulous and if you go for happy hour, they have Tapas for like $2 each......
