Just Married/Thank You sign question

I was just wondering what materials you used if you have/or are planning to make one of these signs? Also if you used wood, what thickness and type of wood did you buy? TIA!

We bought a 1X6 and cut it in 1/2. I gave the 2nd 1/2 to Ninny. you will need white paint, black paint, c few different thicknesses of brushes, a pencil, and a print out of your "thank you" in your desired font.Once the wood was cut in 1/2 DH used a saw to round out the edges. Paint your wood first. Once you are happy with the print out flip it over and color the back of the letter with pencil. Then flip the paper over again and trace over the letter with a pen or pencil - making sure to press down just enough to create an outline of your letters on the wood. Once you are done you should have a beautiful outline and can begin painting. We have out "Just Married" sign hanging in our kitchen. <3 it!!GL!
