Who feeds the people who work at your wedding?

Is it common for the bride & groom to provide food/beverages to the photographers/videographers working at their wedding?  Just wondering if we should include them in our catering count since they'll be putting in a long day (8+ hours).

We budgeted to provide food for our videographers (3), photographers (2), dj, officiant and his wife (although we sent them invitations and they declined so we knew they weren't going to go to the reception before our numbers were due to the venue), and our florist (because he ended up acting as a pseudo- DOC organizing the ceremony).

A lot of venues will have cheaper vendor meals that they can serve as well.  We served our vendors the same meal as our guests, but the venue only charged us for food and non-alcoholic drinks for them, so it was a little cheaper than we paid for the rest of our guests.

I asked our venue how they normally handle them and they told me not to include them in our guest count but they would make sure they had food. I would ask your venue to make sure before you pay the extra money.

I took my photographer and dj into account when budgeting for meals. Like PP said many venues/carefree will have a special vendor meal.

We plan on having them just go through the line as everybody else does.  Theres going to be a ton left over so why not right?  I wouldn't give them a side meal, sounds demeaning, shove the vendors in the back room with a ham sandwich.  Just feed them like everyone else :)

We're factoring our photographers (2), videographers (2), and DJ in our catering count.

If you are having a buffet, the vendors can just go through the line along with the guests. If you are having a sit down dinner, it is etiquette to provide the vendors a meal. Most venues have special pricing for vendors meals so be sure to let your venue know how many vendors you will be serving. If you have more than 3 vendors to serve, you may want to consider adding a table to your reception as the vendor table so they can have a place to sit, too. GL!

I figured, they were doing so much for us on that day, why not give them a nice meal ?  They were very appreciative.
