  I don't really have any suggestions, but I can commiserate! I am looking for the same type of thing - we are going to Rome for the honeymoon, and if you show up to the Papal audience in your "wedding attire", you can sit in the front row and get a blessing from the Pope- but I don't want to lug my big dress around Europe for two weeks. So, I need a very modest (shoulders, knees covered) ensemble. I haven't found a suit, but I did find this dress: http://tinyurl.com/ye8osf6 HTH!

  The problem is I'm also buying a wedding dress, so I don't want to spend too much on the suit, isn't having one made very expensive?

  I'm thinking you could get a suit made for about $1K and then find a wedding dress in the $2K range -- totaling $3K -- which some brides spend just on a dress....However, check out Simms, Century 21 for white suits...you can also try white house / black market and Ann Taylor.
