  JIY, I only heard about the dollar dance about 3 years ago when a friend when to a wedding in Scranton and thought it was really awkward.

  NCV - they have done it at every wedding i have ever been to. I thought it was a very common thing. I would have never thought to consider it tacky.

  I never heard of giving the BS hostess a gift either.  Some other things are: B-picsCrinoline (never knew what the heck to call it)Bridal pics Trash the Dress"Will you be my bridesmaid" cards (what happened to the old fashioned way of just asking?)

  ETSY!the acronyms, trash the dress, b-pics, gifts for shower hostess, photoboths at the weddingFSIL said she never heard of OOT bags and would have done that if she had known.I'm still not sure what trash the dress is all about.
