I am having trouble deciding wear to have my reception at. I want it to be a nice place but not expensive. Could anyone help me out please?

    Check out your local community centers by calling the city hall or parks & rec.

    Ask your local board to recommend some places in your area (click the blue house at the top of the page to see the Local Board dropdown menu). Also, for your own safety, take your last name out of your signature line.

    I agree with pps. I am not sure where you are located, but in my area, receptions at social clubs (Slovak Center, Italian Club etc), VFWs and firehalls are very common. Our reception is going to be at a fire hall. It cost us less than $500 to rent the hall. They also supply the alcohol at a very reasonable price.
