NWR: Robbery next door

So.... I call FI on my way home from work and asked whats up..... he said ummmm the neighbors got robbed and I witnessed them do it and called the cops... So then he proceeds to tell me that he yelled at them to drop that s***... awesome...so they got to see his face.... so now I'm sitting in my house scared while he goes to Publix. The robbers stole not only electronics but guns also... (my neighbor owns a pawn shop). They robbed another house near Waterford as well and they haven't caught them yet. When I got to the house I talked to the police officer for my own sanity and he told me they're starting to knock on doors and ring doorbells to see if anyone is home.. They also check to see if the doors are unlocked.. be careful girls... I think were getting weapons this weekend.....

    wow. how scary! thanks for the heads up! steve and i have been wanting to get a gun but haven't done it yet.

    Oh my gosh, Evie!! That is so scary! I would be nervous too! :( Poor thing. *hugs*P.S. If they ring the doorbell, just open the door and punch them in the face. ;)

    lol... well my neighbor told me he would sell us one... we've been thinking about it though not 100%... just scary though when things happen right next door...

    Umm where do you live? Just the general area. My fiance is a paramedic so he works 24hr shifts.

    Yikes! That is scary! And props to your FI for trying to stop them, but geez, I would be scared! My FI has about 3 or 4 hand guns and a turkish mouser, which I don't think he shoots, but it's intimidating. He bought me a pink gun and I think I'm going to look into getting a CCW license so I can keep it in my car or something because stuff like that scares me.  Glad you're all safe!

    Thanks for the heads up, Evie! That's pretty scary. Glad you guys are okay tho. DH has a pistol just because of stuff like this, but *knock on wood* nothing's happened around here.

    Yeah seriously.. I'm glad Greg didn't get hurt either lol... I can't believe he said something... we live around the UCF area in a housing community .. the robbers also hit up Waterford... no idea where else they struck...

    Evie- You too? I live in Woodland Lakes Preserve off of Alafaya and Curryford (next to Waterford) and there have been 3 breakins in one week all on the same street! I have been terrified and I have spoken to the neighbors to see if we could maybe start some kinds of neighborhood watch. My neighbor told me that the cops said that there has been a huge rise in crime (orange county) over the past couple of months. I am scared and I am going to do everything in my power to protect ourselves. Props to your FI for standing up to those morons! Most people just look the other way! My FI called the cops when he heard one of the neighbors alarms going off and it took them over 40 minutes to show up!

    When Obama got elected FI and I went to the next gun show and joined NRA...he bought a gun (it is a big russian SKS with a stupid Bayonet on the end) he took me out to shoot it and it was fun but way too powerful and I cannot see me getting that huge thing out and shooting it...so now am looking for a smaller gun I could handle easier...but I do sleep better knowing if we are ambushed we can fight back!
