October 2009 Weddings

oh no!

I woke up this morning and I feel like I'm getting a stye on one of my eyes. This is not what I need 3 days before my wedding. I never have issues with my eyes, and have only had one stye before and that was years ago. If this honestly starts swelling its probably the most cruel thing that could happen to me. I'm so upset.

Re: oh no!

  • I got one of those the other day too. Luckily, I just cleaned my eye and didn't use any mascara and it went away the next day. Try to find some of those eye wipes. HTH!
  • Put a very warm, wet rag on it for a while.  It should help.  Also keep it clean.
  • Go to an Urgent Care center, they can give you an anti-inflammatory. Don't wear any makeup today and put a warm compress on it.

  • my dad got one of these in his eye.  Thankfully he went to the doctor right away (instaed of waiting a week like usual) but it's clearing up quickly.
  • I got the same thing 3 days before my wedding... lol. Don't panic. Like pp said, avoid eye makeup, use warm compresses, and use tylenol. Also, I went to RiteAid and found eyedrops that were specifically for stys. They were homeopathic, but they worked! My eye was fine 48 hours later
