Today is my last day of work this week. I'm getting married Saturday. I'll be on vacation/honeymoon next week and I need it so badly!!! That's all.

All week I've gotten up at 5:45am (usually sleep until 7 to be at work by 8) and gone to the gym BEFORE work! It's feels so nice! Gives me energy for the day AND best of all, I still have my evenings free!

My shower is Sunday!!! So excited!This is kind of a sad AW but my good friend Gypsy(dance director of the dance company I'm on) had to back out of being a BM (which I TOTALLY understand with the musical being the week before my wedding and all the stuff she is responsible for being the director) but also told me that the Asst. Director(who is in charge of the acting aspect of it) wants to do a rehearsal in 'real time' the Friday of my wedding...at 6...which means she wouldn't be able to even come to my wedding(but could make it to the reception late) which makes me so heartbroken and she was so torn up over it last night. My heart breaks for her knowing how much she was hurting and how scared she was to tell me. It feels worse bc there is absolutely *nothing* I can do to try and brainstorm possible solutions so she could come.

At least she told you instead of flaking out last minute. Hopefully she can make it to reception and be there for you then, even if it is late.

We booked a place on Saturday! Cross Timbers Winery in Grapevine, 10/16/10. We have a new potential photographer, since our original picks fell through. I'm hoping to hear back from them this morning so we can send in our deposit for that. So once we put the deposit down on the photographer, almost all of the major things will be done--venue, photog, dress, and BM dresses are all official. I'm so glad to have gotten past the venue hurtle, so I can get started on all the million little things. I'm on vacation next week! I'm shampooing our carpets during my week off! I'm really excited about it! I've been waiting all week for this

Yeah Apple, that all really sucks. I'm glad your friend was up front with you too, it relieved a lot of stress for the both of you. If I were you, I'd still do something to make her feel included, even if she misses the ceremony--make sure she gets a BM gift if you're doing that and make sure that she knows she can wear her dress to the reception if she has time to change. I'm sure you will though. You seem like a good friend.

Thanks steph and lyndie :)She mentioned thinking about waiting til closer to the time to see where we would be rehearsal wise(like 2 weeks out) but she was like but that would be even shittier than doing what I'm doing now. She wants to be there for me 100% but I know and she knows that because of the timing, she won't be able to. And I knew once the dates were decided for the musical that she was not going to be able to give me 100% of herself and I was ok with that. I just wanted her there. But she's not ok with it. She thought I was going to be crazy bridezilla on her because most brides start getting that way so close...I was like it's only 6 weeks...oh...sh!t...haha! She was also thinking of how she was when she got married in the middle of grad school and having a show the week after her wedding as well.Oh and she said if they do end up having a rehearsal that night...she is totally wearing her BM dress to show how much she does not want to be there hahaMy MoH is also in the show(just as a dancer though) and i'm Guido's mom...so we both won't be there for Thursday night's rehearsal and definitely not Friday's!

Yes I told her to still come in her dress and I'll make sure to get special pictures with her at the reception and I did plan on still giving her the BM gift. I even told her if she makes it in time for the ceremony she can still stand up there with me. I still consider her one of my BM...she just may not be there for part of it. I told her you'll miss the important part but you can still make the fun part! hehe

Thanks, Stephie. I usually have a hard time being decisive in my everyday, normal life, but anything wedding related, I seem to be reacting differently. If I see something I like and feel good about, I go with it. Picking my dress was a total accident. We were just going for ideas and planning on putting down a deposit later, but my mom and I both loved one and we went for it. Check! The photography thing is annoying though--we're both pretty picky and also a little stingy and since we lost our first pick yesterday, we immediately began looking for another, found them, and told them we wanted in. Lets hope it works.

New Moon in 6 weeks!!! Can't wait for that movie, even if I have to set through it with a bunch of teenagers! I get to work from home tomorrow and have off for Columbus day on Monday, so that's exciting.This time next week we'll be on the plane to Trinidad to finally see the country that my dad was born and raised. Yay for vacation and two 2-day work weeks in a row!

Congrats to everyone's AW! Mine is kind of lame, but Jeff finally got back from Chicago last night! His bosses were in town and they took us to get really great Sushi! We had awesome food and wine AND we didn't have to pay for it! It was all so yummy!

Everyone has some great AW's this week! yay!Mine is NWR. I had one of my litttle 8 year olds gymnasts get a perfect 10 this past weekend at our gymnastics meet! It was the first one our gym has had. We were all so excited and we took a picture of the scoreboard. She is still so young that she came over to me and said, "that's pretty good right Miss Jamie?" so cute!

Emi, that's not lame. Free sushi could never be lame. The only thing I have to AW is that I finally got my car back from the shop after six days and $100 for each day it was there! Painful, but it's great to have transportation again.
