Optimal number of regestries?

We are trying to figure out how many places we should register at.  We dont want to do to few and not offer a gift in someones price range, but we also don't want to have to add stuff we don't really want.  Any suggestions on how many registries we should sign up for?~~~WeddingJojo.com - Create a wedding website to help you share your special day!

Re: Optimal number of regestries?

 • I'm in the same boat, trying to figure out where to register.  We don't want to have too many registries (registered in different places), but I found this website - it's free - called myregistry.com where you can combine items from different places online to one registry, and it links to where the item can actually be found.  We also registered at Macy's for a more traditional option.HTH
 • The norm is 2-3. If most of your guests are in an urban area where most stores are convenient, you could really do just 1.
 • Any more than 3 and I get annoyed.  But, I would encourage you to pick at least 2 in the even that your guests don't like or can't get to a store they have another option.
 • We're doing Williams Sonoma for a few items, Target for most items, and putting the random crap we find at other stores and Amazon.com on a myregistry.com registry.

 • I am struggling with this as well so far we have only registered at BBB (still haven't finished there yet- it was not FI's thing...) we are not registering for china or anything like that bc we don't see a need for it.. I am thinking maybe I will also register at target but I don't know what I would put on my registry there... but I feel like I should give our guests another option besides just BBB.
 • I'm having the same problem! We're registered at Macy's and Target, and I'm thinking of adding one last store like Williams Sonoma.
