Vintage favors

Hi Ladies,I am new to this board. I am getting married in May 2010 at the Casa Feliz in Winter Park, Florida. It is a Spanish styled farmhouse built in 1930. I am trying to keep the "vintage" theme to a minimum so it won't overshadow the venue. I am at a loss for favors. I want to do something traditional for the time period and /or something that is practical. Any ideas?TIA!

I am thinking about using them as escort card holders and having a sign that says "take your seat to your seat". Then people can take them home and use them for displaying pictures etc.Hope that helps!

I'm not sure if it works with your theme but I'm having a silhouette artist make silhouettes of my so guests as favors. I'm really excited about it. Plus she is going to cut two at once so I get to keep a copy in my alternate guestbook.

I think the suggestions so far are really wicked (LOVE the silhoette idea). In my opinion the easiest way to give out "vintage" favours is just in the wrapping. Give out any favour you want--hand baked goods, picture frames, whatever--and wrap it in vintage paper, don it with vintage gift tags, use vintage stamps, etc. Easy peasy!We're going to try our best to give saplings from the arborday foundation (or whatever its called in the states-- Tree Canada where I'm from... sorry I cant remember) but I'm going to be adding some DIY vintage tags to the ugly plastic cylinders.
