Found My Dress!!!

After telling my fi to come with me to look for dresses just so we knew what looked good on my body...we kind of accidently found the one and bought it! It reminds me of Rita Hayworth and I feel like Rita in it so take a look

The model does it no justice so I will post a pic of it on my body too...Sorry my fi is not good taking photos, but you get the idea! That's a fab find! One of the patterns FIe is looking at has a similar wrap ... I think it's great way to add a bit of period feel.

I agree the wrap really makes it have a 1940's feel to it and for sure Rita Hayworth style! The only thing I am scared about is the lack of sleeves but so many people told me it looks fabulous and I have to agree. I hope she gets a wrap

Oh yes I did try that one on too, it wasn't for me but I really do love it! It's more for someone who has a really lovely and graceful neck. I bet it will look wonderful on you, though! Fi said I looked like Elvis

LOL Tara! Yeah it's funny how different dresses can look on people. I do have that long "ballet neck" so it works! they were like "we could pin down the collar" and I said no way, part of the reason I LOVE that dress is the uniqueness of the "vampire collar"!

Man I am SO JEALOUS of your neck then! You will look so amazing! I love that dress, but I just couldn't pull it off. I bet you could though. How tall are you, if you don't mind me asking? I am 5'5'' so I looked silly

That gown is beautiful, and is a perfect canvas for jewelry and accessories.

I'm not sure who posted the dress with the high neck (sorry, I don't post here much) but it is stunning also!!! I actually want to try that one on just for the heck of it. Both dresses are amazing and perfect for a vintage bride! I am actually having a very hard time finding a gown. I'm crossing my fingers that I find it soon so I can cross it of my huge list.

Both are from David's Bridal. If you have one nearby, get there soon. They have several in the fall collection that are a vintage feel. I tried on quite a few!

Beautiful dresses! I found that when doing a vintage theme if you keep an open mind you can find some gorgeous dresses. Sometimes what you least expect to like on the hanger is the perfect one on your body. That is how I found mine!
