Good moring, I just noticed in your signature that you are getting married in St. Thomas, I live in St. Thomas, where are you getting married at?

Re: ginaherman6

  • Hi :)I'm getting married at the Wyndham Sugar Bay. Since you live in St. Thomas, maybe I could ask your opinion... what do you think of Wikked restaurant? We are between them and Duffy's for our welcome dinner... and I already know about the bad reviews for Duffy's, we just think it could be fun and different (and definitely the cheapest). But I'm really worried about the bathroom situation there. Wikked doesn't have very many reviews, but it does look a lot nicer and isn't too much more expensive.
  • The thing with Duffy's is you'll be sitting in a parking lot overlooking one of our main roads. There are a few tables on the inside, but the whole place is open up to the parking lot. I have not been to Wikkid yet but have heard a lot of good things about it. Another option, if you want a fun atmosphere would be Iggies. It's right on the beach and the food is great. Here is their website: http://www.iggiesbeachbar.com/ If you have any other questions, just ask, I will help you out in any way I can :)
  • I wanted to check out Iggies, but they never respond to any emails I send, and their catering menu is more than what my actual reception is costing, so I don't think we would go with them.
  • Oh wow, sorry to hear about the poor customer service, trust me, it's not like that everywhere. Were there any other places you had in mind?
  • Not really. I think I pretty much checked every restaurant and bar on the island as well as chartered boat dinner receptions and they all want to charge more than my actual wedding reception for dinner. I just can't justify spending that much on a welcome dinner. Hopefully Wikked should be good. We'll be on the patio overlooking the harbor so at least the scenery will be nice :)
  • Yeah, it is very pretty down at Yacht Haven Grande and if you're going on a Friday night, there is a place next to it called Fat Turtle and they have a DJ with dancing and stuff until 2am. We go there a lot.
