boutonnieres and corsages

Morning girls! I was wondering, is it custom to get corsages and boutonnieres for brothers and sisters of the bride and groom if they're not in the wedding? We have a tiny wedding of 26 people. We don't have a bridal party. I'm ordering corsages and boutonnieres for our parents.. should I do that for the siblings or should I not worry about it? Oh, and our JP (who's a close friend) needs a boutonniere, right?

Re: boutonnieres and corsages

  • I don't think it's customary for siblings, just parents and grandparents of the bride and groom.  We didn't get one for our officiant but some people do, so that's just up to you I guess.

  • My fiance and I both have divorced and re-married parents so we both have step brothers and sisters. We are having our biological brothers in the wedding and then getting corsages and boutonnieres for our step-brothers and step-sisters. Its certainly not required but I think that its a nice thing to do to make them feel included and special on our wedding day.
