Thanks Ladies for the Fondant vs. Buttercream Poll. Buttercream wins by a landslide. I called FI and told him, "my knotties don't like fondant, we are getting buttercream." So now comes cake and filling ... we like lemon with raspberry filling but I don't know if everyone is going to like it. Here are the choices for cakes:Vanilla, Lemon or Red Velvetand fillings:Vanilla Buttercream, Chocolate Buttercream, Strawberry, Lemon, Vanilla Bavarian Cream, Apricot, Cherry, Coconut Cream, Guava, Pineapple, Peanutbutter Buttercream, or Peach.Whatcha think?

    I absolutely loved vanilla with raspberry mixed with cheesecake. Other than that...coming from your list would be the one you originally had. At the end of the day, it's YOUR wedding cake! I think lemon and raspberry is funky!

    Red Velvet all the way! usually I think it's a cream cheese filling...hmm, I just know I love red velvet with the white stuff! Yay, I have a tasting on saturday!

    how many layers is it? does it have to be just one type?  and it's your wedding, go with whatever cake your heart desires!!!!

    I'm particularly fond of a "strawberry shortcake" (vanilla with strawberry/whipped cream fiilling). That's what we chose so I had to throw that out there!Other combos I like that are on your list are red velvet with cream cheese or vanilla filling, lemon with raspberry filling, and vanilla with coconut.

    we like lemon with raspberry fillingmy absolute favorite! it's what we had. if you get that, i am going to crash your wedding to steal a peice! everybody loved our cake.

    I LOVE lemon with raspberry. Even vanilla with raspberry.Also, I would try vanilla cake with coconut cream, lemon cake with guava, or something with the bavarian cream.But then again, we Puerto Ricans are probably more used to guava and stuff, so while I like it, a lot of people might not.

    We are getting married in May and this is one aspect of the wedding planning that I don't have a lot of interest in. What I may like, the group might not and I refuse to buy a cake no one is going to eat. I have 3 layers so I can do 3 options.Keep them coming!

    I think they all sound awesome! I am a huge red velvet fan for cake! I also like the idea of a vanilla or lemon with guava filling. Guava is amazing! So sweet but more natural than most sweet foods.
