Opinions please! (candy buffet)

I have been debating take-out boxes or treat bags for our candy buffet. Here are the two side by side, I'm worried that some of the candy may not fit, for example one rock candy stick or lolipop may take up the whole take-out box. Please let me know what you think! I think I like the bags better, esp. if there is going to be a space issue.  Did you consider a taller, white paper bag (sort of like a lunch bag) that wouldn't need a ribbon to tie it with?  Just a thought.

I like the takeout box. I think the bag works better for function (esp. with the candy you mentioned), but what about transportation? I can see a lot of people not using the ribbon or losing it (we all know how some people can get at receptions, or is that just me? hahaha!). Agree with PP - what about a taller bag or box? A drawstring bag? http://www.favorideas.com/shopping/prod/PSBX-036.htm http://www.favorideas.com/shopping/prod/SF-bags_sakbag_brown.htm

My vote would be for the box. I think your label on the box is a sleeker look. We used takeout boxes and did not have any "tall" candies. It did not matter. People did not close the boxes. They were too busy trying to fit in as much candy as possible. :) I did hear guests commenting on how much they liked that the boxes had handles. The candy will also stay fresh longer because boxes can be closed whereas the temptation with a bag would be just to leave it open.GL!

I like the box better, it looks more polished.  Your monogram labels look great!

I like the box better. It definitely looks better for your labels too. Good Luck!

We did clear cellophane bags for ours because it was cheaper and easier (took up less room on the table).  I put a sticker on each bag with our monogram just like you had.  We cut ribbons and put them inside of the bags so people could tie them if they wanted (most people ate their candy before the reception was over).  I think they both look great.  Like pp said, you could use different sized boxes, or even bags, I think ours were larger than the ones you show in your pic.

We had white paper bags from Michaels.  They have all different sizes and it might be a happy medium between the take out box and bag.  Here is a picture of ours, they come in different sizes too. http://tinyurl.com/ygnsaj3http://tinyurl.com/yhpkcpw

I like them both (sorry I'm no help) That's a great monogram!!  Your guests will figure it out either way (ties or sticks sticking out of the boxes).Nice job!

Where did you get your monogram labels made?
