I was going to wait to put this in my GBU but will go ahead and do it now because I need some help! We used the Moon Palace photographer. I am not happy at all with his work. We ordered a package that was only $500 for photos to be taken right before the ceremony, throughout the ceremony and about an hour afterwards on the beach and around the resort. It also included a photo album of 50-60 printed pictures and a CD of around 200. I thought this package would be just fine since we were eloping and trying to save money. I gave the photographer a print out of my must take pictures - hoping to get those shots as well as to let him knot the 'feel' of the type of pics I wanted.I would think it a photographer would be clicking away pretty consistently throughout the whole session. That it would take a bunch of shots to get a perfect photo. Our photographer was hardly clicking at all which I thought was odd at the time. And he had us doing the cheesiest poses - having Dave twirl me around, tilt me back, constant smooching. I love smooching Dave and all but I would have loved to had more pics of our faces smiling into the camera! And I'm far from cheesy (who really is though?) - twirls and dips aren't my thing! When we picked up our photo album Saturday morning before we left, I looked through it on the couch in the wedding office. The more I flipped through the photos, the more I started flipping out! It took all I had to keep myself from crying. The WC said the photographer would pick the best photos to print for the album. At the time, I thought if these were the best photos then I can only imagine the crap that's on the CD! Dave knew he needed to get me back to room ASAP before I had a meltdown - which I did.Of course we all want to be beautiful on our wedding day and have beautiful pictures to go with our beautiful memories. We have pictures of the both or one of us with eyes closed, horrible angles that look like they are taking pics up our noses, light poles in the background, plants in the background that are positioned so it looks like they are growing up our nose or out of an ear, major shadows on our faces, pics in the middle of us talking, on and on.There was no photoshopping to refine or look artsy 'n pretty. Oh, except they did photoshop two photos...one is my siggy photo. There was a white chair to the right of us. They photoshopped only the bottom of the chair out! The top is still there!!! I cropped the chair out. It's one of the few photos I like. There is another of us in the horse and carriage. There was a street sign on the side of the road. It is actually a good photo other than the pole that was only half removed. Ugh! I'm going to have to scrap most of the printed photos they gave us.So...on to the main point of this post. I have my AHR on November 7th. We have photoshop at home, but I don't know the program well enough to make the 50-ish photos that are decent pretty enough to want to show to people. I can teach myself, but can't become a pro in two weeks and have time to get them printed! Does anyone know of a company or photographer that can take these photos and save them? I have a release form signed by the photographer...I'm sorry this is so long. I'm just super sad about our photos. Also - lesson learned - you get what you pay for! I wish we would have saved to fly a real photographer in for our wedding.
