How much in advance did you reserve a block of hotel rooms for your guests?

    I set ours up over a year in advance, but that was mostly because I just wanted it to be done before sending out STDs & such.

    6 months, but no one reserved until 2 or 3 months.

    I called the hotel and asked and they had us do it a year in advance as well.

    We were looking at two hotles - one allowed you to book your block over a year out (which is what we did), the other wouldnt allow you to until it was within 6 months of the date.

    We did it a year ahead of time. We'll have a significant amount of OOT guests, so I wanted to be able to give them an idea of the price range of hotels we've blocked off.

    I just did mine....but I only had to block about 10. Our wedding is 4-30-10.NOt sure when your date is, but I would at least call, see what they say....and make sure there aren't any big events happening that weekend that would make it difficult to get rooms.  HTH
