Officiant??????????

Hi ladies... my officiant gave me a package price and when I told her I just need it the officiant and not the rest of package my price went up. I need advise. He want to charge $725.00 is this fare price for a ceremony?

    Not sure about everyone else, but our officiant is charging us $225 for the just the ceremony.

    That does not seem reasonable at all! Most officiants I priced were between $200-300.

    $725 sounds like a lot!  That's the price for only an officiant?  I paid about $200 for mine.

    What?! I think that is way too expensive...but i guess i wouldn't know. I was going to ask my Bishop to do the wedding, and he is a well known Pastor and the most i was going to pay him was 500.00! But unfortunately, he is going through some rough things in his life and i think he may have a brain tumor so i just heard today that he wont be able to do the wedding. fortunately for me, i already planned for something like this to happen and got my parent's pastor (who is also the pastor I had when i was younger) to do the ceremony. I dont think he will charge a lot. I really think all he will do is ask to give the church a donation.HTH!

    $725 is a lot of money...especially for JUST the officiant. (Just out of curiosity, what does the rest of the package include?) We paid $195 for rehearsal and ceremony w/Georgiana Johnson, and we loved her! Hope you can work something out that's more fairly priced. GL!

    The rest of the package included photos, video , rehersal and coordinator, all for 1.300.00. But I didn't like the photos or videos. I will start looking for someone else. Thank you so much.

    Seems strange that the price would increase since you only want the officiant. Good luck--I'm sure everything will work out :)

    Our officiant is charging $250 for the ceremony and that includes that rehearsal the night before.

    Our officiant is charging $500 but he will be with us for 3 days. That's about $170 per day.

    Wow...the free Rabbi (family friend) is sounding better and better...I had no idea how expensive an officiant was....even though we are not having a jewish ceremony he specializes in Interfaith marriages...OY VAY!

    We are using Rev. Glynn Ferguson with Sensational Ceremonies. He is only charging us $175 for our ceremony and an additional $75 for the rehearsal dinner.

    We are using Glynn Ferguson as well! $725 is nuts! LOL... I woulda told them I'd rather have my crazy sister get ordained online for like $50 or something and marry us then spend $725 LOL :-) Goodluck!

    and, going off of what Eryn said... I recently became a notary public and performed a wedding ceremony for my MOH and her DH. It was my "wedding gift" to them, because they were having trouble finding someone to marry them within their budget. It was super special, and something both of us will always remember.
