I'm not a big make up girl. On special occasions, I throw on some mascara and lipstick one shade darker than my lips. So I need help. I got my make up done, and I feel overly made up, but I still don't know if it's enough for pics.My outfit is very 50s, so she wanted to try a red lip. This made me ascared. We switched to a pinky color, which was somewhat better. Ignore my hot tranny mess hair and the fact that I look nekkid.Opinions? Your lips look fabulous. I'm a huge fan of red lips. However, I'd go with a lighter eye. A little brown liner and mascara and that's really all you need.

Holy crap, you're gorgeous!I don't like the lips, butttttttttt I don't like red lips in general so I might be biased. Frankly I think it washes you out a little though. You have a gorgeous porcelain complexion and I just think you could do better with something not so bright.I LOVE the eyes though. I think they're perfect. Just not with the lips. I'd change one of the other.

I would think the lip is too much, but given that your outfit has a 50's vibe, I think you'd be okay doing this OR something more natural. Btw, I think your makeup looks great! I think you have to be pretty confident to pull off true red lips. You look pretty confident.

I like that MUCH better. You still get bright, stand out lips, and I think it'll match your 50s vibe pretty well. A true red doesn't work on very many people, and I just think that one is much better on you than the true red you tried at your makeup trial.

Oh, this is for e-pics? I like the new shade much better, but I how will that work for spontaneous kissy shots, etc.? I wondered the same thing for my e-pics and ended up chickening out and going neutral on the lips so as not to paint FI throughout the photo shoot.

Thanks ladies. I feel more comfortable with a more "neutral" lip.I was honestly too afraid to try a darker red. It might be that I don't do lip color often, but I feel like with my hair and skin colors, a dark lip makes me look all goth-y.

I'm not crazy about red lips on a general basis, but if you're going for a 50's look, it's completely appropriate and would make sense/fit nicely. The toned down lip is more what I am used to and would go for, but it's also very "normal" wedding makeup, not so much a 50's thing, IMO.

Haha, semi-creepy. That lipstick was actually the one in the last pic with some gloss on top of it. The light was pretty bad in the other pic. And I put it on just for the pic; I don't go around in it everyday.

I think red lips would be fabulous with your look but this is not the right shade of red for you. It's too pink, I think. I'd go with something a little deeper and more brown.
