I had the honor of attending a great wedding this weekend. Some of the knotties asked me to share, so I will

The ceremony was really nice. The church was wonderful- small with lots of stained glasses windows, so there was no need to over decor the place and I am glad they did not. The bride was breathtaking. They did the sand ceremony and had a poem read from Maya Angelo (End and out of time) and that was it! Short and sweet!
The reception was great! They choose a great venue that had everything already in it. They added a band/dj and photobooth to make things fun. They had a lot of food; a great assortment everyone to enjoy. We enjoyed ourselves ... and the open bar!
Some take aways:
--We loved how each family formally welcomed the new spouse to the family (in addition to the formal toasts).
--I liked the venue had leftover cake wrapped up and at the door for guest to take with!
--We loved the best man greeted each table and offered thank you, even tho the bride/groom came around to us.
--I loved their small ceremony. The bride was able to say hello to people as she walked down the aisle. I want the same!
--I love photobooths! Brides that are doing this - thanks, as FI and I keep these in our wallets!
