Wedding Woes

TV shows that I'm trying to stick with, but the clock is ticking.

Alcatraz- I'm not a patient person, so you need to give a sista some clues on what's going on.

Person of Interest- I like the premise, but still want to know how they flag the people they are trying to save.

Revenge- I'm getting bored.

Grimm- I just caught up with this one, and I need some more explanation too.

In conclusion, I'm not a patient tv watcher.

Re: TV shows that I'm trying to stick with, but the clock is ticking.

  • Revenge: The need to stop showing one new episode and then going on hiatus for 2-3 weeks.  It's getting annoying.
  • I have tried to watch Alcatraz twice now but I don't think Ive made it past the half hour mark of the pilot. I really want to like the show but the outlook is not good.

  • I watched the first 3 weeks of Alcatraz, but we've officially lost interest.

Revenge: I stopped watching and instead started gettin reading updates.

    Shows I'm loving:

    New Girl
Jane by Design (because I'm 12)

  • Grimm - seems very Buffy The Vampire Slayer to me. But I'm enjoying it.

  • What is good about ABC family is they have the shows ONLINE and they show the last week's show maybe two hours or so before the current episode.  So like 5 pm CST and then then the new episode at 8pm.

  • I love both Alcatraz and Grimm! Those are Dh and my shows, the only two we consistantly watch every week!
If you didn't like Lost, I don't see you enjoying Alcatraz. It's very similar and I don't expect any answers anytime soon (or ever.)
Grimm is just fun. If you've seen all of the episodes I don't know what explanation you'd need-it's all very simple. He's a Grimm. he's supposed to kill fairytale creatures. But he's also a cop, his job is to protect. He's trying to be in both worlds. It's hard. His boss is protecting him from reapers. Reapers kill Grimms. That's the show!

  • I am not watching any of these shows and given my impatience, I don't think I will.

I am going to watch Smash, maybe later today and see how I feel about it.
  • I liked Smash.  It fills my musical show void since I quit watching Glee.

Anybody watch "The Good Wife"?  I'm in.love with that show.
  • CW- I guess I'm just not into fairy tales, so I like to know how this all came to be. Maybe, I didn't pay attention to the pilot.

  • I still "watch" Glee, meaning it is on and I will often tune it out. I am glad to hear Smash wasn't horrid, my BFF and i are going to converge and discuss after I watch it.
  • I stopped watching Glee too.  It just kind of faded away...*awkward arm reach*

  • I love Alcatraz, but I also watched the first four seasons of Lost in about two months, so it's the kind of show I get really into. Plus, now I am able to convince Man we need to go to San Francisco and we need to visit Alcatraz.

  • The Good Wife is awesome. It's like Dawson's Creek for adults and Joey has much better style.

Yes!!  Did you watch the last new episode?!  I was dying when they were talking in her kitchen and then again when she told el bitcho to have her arrested.  It's getting sooo... good.
  • I'm struggling with Glee, b/c it's gone from "this would never happen and that makes it funny" to "this would never happen and you're lying to kids".  Plus, the music has not been that great this season.

I like Grimm, but I'm ready for something to happen.  What the heck is his boss?  A Reaper who's out to kill him himself?  Or what?  That show skirts the line of hoaky but it's doing okay so far.  There's something fishy about that girlfriend.

Castle is hanging on by a slim thread, so is Bones.  I haven't added anything new in awhile, though we're starting Breaking Bad on Instant.

  • I watch all these except Revenge.

What do you need to know about Grimm?

The Machine in Person of Interest flags social security numbers that are going to be involved in a crime. The crippled guy built it with some other dude, who I think is now dead, and they sold it to the Feds for $1 to look for terrorism. The Feds don't know that crippled guy is still logging on to find the SSNs of all these other people.

I think I gave up on The Firm. It was good, but not great, and I'm just not into it enough.

I have Smash and The River on the DVR now.

  • I really want to stick with Castle because I lurve Nathan Fillian, but Beckett really gets on my nerves, so it's kind of on the bubble for me.  I'm also fairly meh about Glee but haven't deleted it from the list yet.

I'm digging Alcatraz so far.  Smash is on the DVR - hopefully I'll get to it this weekend.
