Happy Friday Ladies!!!

Ladies,

It is finally here....FRIDAY!!!! Before the week ends I am so glad I have gotten some things done.  I did the color Palette inspiration board for Feb and posted it yesterday.  I thought  I was not going to be able to do it, but it's up.  I hope you guys like it.  I also worked on the FAFSA yesterday, and I think I will be finished by it by the end of the day.  I hate filling out this form so much.   Now If I can finish off my homework tonight for tommorow's class.  I am good to go.

I hope you ladies have a wonderful weekend.  I have classes, but  I will try to find some time to hang out with FI and maybe sneak onto the knot.  LOL.

Re: Happy Friday Ladies!!!

  • Happy Friday!!! i had my gerontoly midterm today, so glad that it over, now just 2 more HUGE midterms next week and its Spring Break!!!--too bad I will be spending all  my time that week in the office making money instead of spending it. but I guess its best, since we definitely need money to start out lives.  I completely agree with you about the FASFA, its so annoying!! good luck with school-what are you going for? I am a family studies major, I would like to be a childlife specialist at Children's Hopsital, eventually. Good luck with the homework. and I'm sure I will be back on here to distract me from studying this weekend!Laughing
  • I am glad your exam is over.  Sounds real fun!! LOL. Good luck on the rest of your exam.
Thanks.  I have degree in Psychology but I am going to pursue medicine so I am getting my bio degree for more science exposure.  I have some of the pre-reqs done from my earlier degree so I am taking the mcat in September or at least that's the plan.  Your major sounds pretty cool.  How long till you finish your degree?
  • Happy Friday ladies...hope your day gets better if it's not.  My FI is getting off work early so I'm excited about that.  :)
  • Hey Hinja- I have another year of schooling left, then I will have to get my masters eventually but there are only 5 schools across america that offers the program of CHildlife :o/ the closest one to me is in Akron.  I'm not looking forwards to getting my masters at all, I really hate school ha. You sound like you have a full plate to take on yourself. Good luck with everything and as always keep me posted!! Have a great weekend to you, and everyone! Enjoy some time with the FI's :o

YAY for leaving work early.  FI is meeting me in downtown after work to just walk around and hang out.  Although, that puts me doing my homework behind.  :)
  • Can't wait to see the pic.  Happy Hunting!!
  • Woo Hoo!!!! I'm free until Tuesday......YIPPEE!
I totally flaked on skipping work today. I got my butt up and finished the month out but I'm scheduled off Monday so I'm feeling pretty good right now.

No real plans except the usual - laundry, grocery shopping, hair appt and workout.

To All my knotties studying...good luck! I don't miss that at all :P
I've thought about going back to school for my Masters but again I don't miss having to do homework and Full Time work. So I really don't see that in my future.
  • I am a little late, but hopefully you ladies all had a nice Friday.

[QUOTE]I'm not looking forward to my Masters either.  I graduated in 2005 with a bachelors in Elementary Education but it's yielded no results.  I've done substitute teaching ever since and I get nothing but good things said about me.  Plus, I have a PASSION for teaching which I think many lack these days but there just aren't any jobs coming up and its a field where if you know someone/are related to someone...you're in and unfortunately I don't have that.  I plan to go back soon for my Masters so that maybe I can actually find a job but I haven't any ideas what that major could be.  It's so depressing, especially knowing I'm leaving something I love behind and something that I know I'm great at.  I don't mean to be conceited about that, really...I don't think I'm good at a lot of things but I know I am with this.

I know what you mean...FI has asked me what would be my plan if I don't make it to Med School and I have got nothing.  Nothing else compares to what you love.  Maybe this economy will turn around and you don't have to make this hard decision.  I don't know much about this so you can correct me on this, if you get your master in education does it better your chances or leaves you still in the same place.  ??? I am just wondering....
  • If you have your Masters in education, a school is required to pay you more than if you just had your bachelor degree.  In the state of Ohio, teachers are required to go back to start obtaining their Masters after a certain length of time so its definitely a plus...but not when you're starting out.  If you've got it to start with, they'll rather hire someone they can pay less for awhile.
