Costa Rica in August

Has anybody been to Costa Rica in August?  I know that it is their "green" season, but I think we want to go anyway.  What is the weather like?  Will we be able to go to the beach?

    i went late july.
    which areas do you mean specifically? there are so many different climate zones that they shouldn't all be lumped into one.

    We are planning on spending the first chunk of the trip near Tamarindo (Northern Pacific Coast),
    We are spending a chunk at the end around the Central Volcanic Region (we know that this one will probably be rainy) />
