What's the process for the marriage license? How long is it good? What forms of ID do we need? Where do we go?

    From what I remember talking to my officiant, you can get it up to 60 days before the wedding and you have to go to the probate court. You can apply online and just have to go downtown to sign the paper. I'm pretty sure a SS card and drivers license or birth certificate will work! I haven't done the process yet but that's what I remember from our meeting!

    We just went last night and got ours :) It's on the 23rd floor of the building on South High St. You don't have to fill out the forms ahead of time, but I HIGHLY recommend it. They have little computers set up all around to do so, but if you've already filled everything out, you breeze right through the process. All they asked us for was a drivers license. When you walk into the building, it's a bit confusing because there are more than one set of elevators that go to specific floors. You'll want to go left when you get through the security area. And make sure you take the $50 cash :) The best part is when they ask you to raise your right hands and say you're not related by blood...HA!    HAVE FUN!

    I just asked my officiant this question today and got word back. If you do fill out the online form do not fill it out more than 30 days before you go in to get your license. He says that the system will throw out your info and you'll have to fill it out again. Other than a license they say just to know your SSN. HTH!
