Bridal scam?

erm...just got a phone call saying i've won some hotel/vacation thing and free toasting flutes if i go to a 'showcase' at a local hotel this weekend. anyone been to one of these? smells fishy...

    I got one of those when we were planning our wedding last year. It sounded too good to be true, so I just told them no thank you politely and hung up the phone.

    I've had this same thing!  They literally were calling me 3-4 times a week since January.  I told them multiple times that I wasn't interested.

    I got rid of them, FINALLY, when I changed my number (however, I did not change my number because of them).  I think David's Bridal is one of the major offenders of sharing info.  I really can't wait to move and no longer get all the junk mail.

    We went to that thing. 100% scam and waste of time. They try to get you to buy china and pans. No thanks!
