July 2013 Weddings

Congrats!!! (from a July '12 bride)

Hey all! Congrats from a fellow July '12 bride!! Now that the board is definitely more active, I thought I would stop by and say Congrats and offer any advice if you need any!! I hope everyone's planning is going well!! You're almost down to the 6 month mark!! HOW EXCITING!!!  Just remember to have fun with the planning!!!  If you have any other questions from the July '12 board, let us know!! I know it is pretty dead over there, but I have stayed in contact with a few of the other knotties from that board & we're always willing to answer any questions!!

Also, I'm trying to get rid of some things still from my wedding!  I have white pomanders, cake serving set, votive holders, purple shoes, a gorgeous never used haircomb, some paper products left and some b-party items!  Pretty flexible on pricing =)http://www.mywedding.com/joeandandreaswedding/events.html

email me at andreajoewedding at gmail dot com or you can PM me!!

Don't forget! Any questions let us know!! Enjoy the rest of your engagement & planning!

  • Thanks! You 2012 July brides have been very nice to us! I did have a question...or rather, would like to ask if I could talk to any 2012 july married on the 3rd/5th/6th or early morning. I would love the schedules for early weddings and any advice for ladies who had their wedding around the july 4th hoilday. Thanks!

First of all, I will say that having your wedding the weekend of the 4th, you'll have to understand that you may not have a good turn out. A lot of people go out of town or have made other plans...STD's are a great idea however, it might be a little late....None of the 7'12 brides had a holiday weekend wedding really since the 4th was on a Wednesday last year...

As far as having an early wedding and a time line, when is the start time of everything?  Mimosas sound like a great idea though!!! (idea from one of the brides)
  • Hii! I had an early wedding, but it was also an all day event which made my timeline a little more flexible. What kind of time frame are you looking at? Also what time are you planning to start the ceremony?

Ceremony is at 10:30am, reception 12-4 (we have it until 5).
I just wanted to get a sense of wake up, how much time it took for you to get ready and any photo time before the wedding you had.

  • Well you'll need to talk to your photog and stylist for a better idea of how long everything will take. I woke up around 5:30 for my 11:30 ceremony. However my morning turned into a trainwreck so you don't want my timeline lol. Hair and MU took about 2 hours for me and 3 BMs, but lots of brides told me they were asked to plan for 3 hours. I had planned for a 30 minute session before the ceremony but you'll need to check with your photog for a better idea on how they work. My dress wasn't a corset back so getting dressed was pretty quick, didn't take more than 2030 mins for all of us to be ready. I'd say you'll probably be starting your morning at 5 or 4:30 depending on travel time and everything.
  • Nati05, that was helpful! Thanks!
