Monograms...who's initial first?

When making a monogram, who's initial is on the left side of the last name initial?

Re: Monograms...who's initial first?

  • Bride, ladies first
  • The bride's name is first. And any monogram with the bride's and groom's initials together isn't to be used until after they are married. It can appear on napkins for the reception, on the cake, etc but not on the invitations, program or wedding website.

Banana - is this true only if the monogram includes last name or is it applicable even if the initials are just first names?

[QUOTE]Bride first. hz - I'm butting in, but its only when the monogram includes the grooms last name.

No worries, and whew...thanks, that's what I thought (and what we did, just first initials) but for a sec I was worried we had a breach of etiquette
