Pearl Street Reception

Hi! Is anyone having their wedding reception at Pearl Street? They are high on my list after looking there and just looking for good (and bad) reviews from anyone. Thanks!

There's a few of us having our receptions at PSG here. So far I'm super happy with them. Whenever I've booked other things (photographer, limo...) they all have great things to say about Pearl Street as well. I highly recommend them!

My cousins had their reception there 4 years ago and my sisters brother and sister in law had theirs there last summer.. Nothing but amazing reviews.  My FI and I are highly considering it as well. =)

We're having our ceremony there (in front of a fireplace) and reception all on the 4th floor there in September.  All their craft beers on tap are available on each floor's bar, and their food is fantastic.  The event coordinator is really helpful too.  So far, everything has gone very smoothly and we're super excited for September! :)  Just make sure you book ASAP cuz they fill up quickly.  We booked our space last August for a Friday wedding, and at that point, Saturdays were already full over a year in advance.

My fiance and I booked PSG for our August 2012 wedding this past February. We originally weren't considering it for a reception venue, but so many people insisted on seeing it so we went... and fell in love!

Natalie has been a HUGE help so far! I've talked to a lot of people who had their reception there and I haven't heard a single bad comment!

If you're getting married on a Saturday BOOK IT NOW! A lot of their Saturday's were getting booked for 2012 already... over a year and a half in advance!

For the girls who are getting married there soon, when did you guys go over the decorative parts with Natalie? We're not getting married until December, but I'm not sure when I should get into contact with her again. Thanks!

cmalchow.... what other vendors did you get good deals on by booking with pearl street? We have our photographers but still will need flowers and a DJ. Thanks!

I've been to a couple weddings there and loved it!  I'm not sure if Pearl Street has a deal with Adam's Mark or if it is just a coincidence, but the couples I know that had their receptions at PSG used Adam's Mark hotel and they ALL had problems with them.  Guests were not being checked in on time and were left standing around the lobby with their bags and some pretty lame excuses (Mary Kay parties ruined the towels so the rooms aren't ready?).  Also, the bride and groom were sent home in a cab because their room wasn't reserved, (even though they confirmed it earlier) and the hotel was booked... this happened for two different weddings!  Just a warning for all the PSG brides!

    our limo & shuttle.

if you email natalie, she will email you a list of "preferred" vendors.  not sure if they all do discounts, but our limo bus is only $450 - i couldn't find it cheaper than $650 anywhere else...

We had our wedding at Pearl Street and it was fabulous!  I just checked my calendar to see when I met with Natalie.  Our wedding was on 10-16-10, on 10-13 I met with Natalie to drop off stuff (candy buffet materials, escort cards, etc) and go over a few last minute details.  I met with her on 8-12 to go over some decor stuff.  That was probably earlier than necessary, but I was planning from MI and was in town that weekend for my shower on 8-15.

We stayed at the Hyatt which is a short subway ride away (in the above ground free section).  Yes I totally rode the Metro in my wedding dress :-)  They had better room block rates and policies than the Adam's Mark (i.e., we weren't required to fill a percentage of the rooms in the block).

Congrats on the booking!  As far as the above-ground subway and hotels, etc, we booked our blocks at Hampton Inn Downtown (beautiful rooms and the sales director is really professional), and also for a less expensive room option we booked at Comfort Suites as well downtown.  Both are right near the free section of the Main St. subway so our guests can check in, get ready, and ride it to Pearl Street Grill.  Super convenient!

Hopefully that doesn't happen to you!  One couple was compensated with tickets to a Bills game in the Adam's Mark box (they were both football fans and said it was a great time), so if it does happen, maybe you'll get a free game out of it.. if there's a season this year!

    i hope it doesn't happen!

maybe they are so over giving away free tickets that they'll just do it right!  LOL

<div>Thanks!  We should have another GTG (I moved back from Michigan). Though I'm not on here all the time so please message me on FB if there is another knottie GTG.  Maybe it should be at PSG since so many knotties have had or are having their weddings there.</div>

We're having our reception there in October! Their food is excellent--we're doing a plated dinner and guests choose their entree (beer braised pot roast, grilled pork tenderloin with an apple bourbon glaze, and six cheese bowtie pasta). My friends that have had weddings there said that guests raved about the pot roast and the six cheese bow tie pasta, in particular. We heard so-so reviews about the chicken (tasty, but a little dry...could depend on the day/chef/size of party/etc), so we went with a pork tenderloin instead.

If you want to get married downtown, I feel like Pearl Street gives you a lot for your money. I've never heard a single person say anything bad about planning a wedding there or attending one. Good luck!
