Creating Your Own Monogram

Does anyone have information on how to create a monogram? I tried awhile ago and it came out terrible. I tried to look on Etsy to find someone new to design it for me but I didn't find anything that I liked.

What program did you use? When I created mine I used photoshop but I just as easily could have done it on Word or Powerpoint. I downloaded fonts from dafont.com that I liked and looked for inspiration online. This is what mine turned out like. Simple, but that's what I was going for.

Also, I forgot that I found this tutorial helpful. I think she has a few more on there for different types of monograms.

Any idea what you want? There are all kinds of free font websites where you can download good fonts. FI favorite is http://www.fontsquirrel.com/

It's best if you design it in Adobe Illustrator (which has a free 30 or 45 day trial). But you can do it in Photoshop or...if absolutely necessary...MS Word.

If you have a Mac I can help you more. I'm basicaly PC illiterate.

Thank you Cassie and Daria! I will try to work on this tonight.

Daria, I want a monogram with both of our names and his initial in the middle with our date on it. I want it in a fancy font though, if that makes sense.
