Help with choosing wedding venue!!

Hi all, I am newly engaged and looking into a north jersey wedding. Ideally,I would love to find a venue that could provide an outside reception, or at least an outside ceremony. It has to be budget friendly(about $100-$120 a person) because my fiancé and I are paying for the wedding ourselves. Any suggestions??

Re: Help with choosing wedding venue!!

  • I recommend my venue, Ravello's in East Hanover.  They have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, the food and service is excellent, and they only do one wedding at a time so you have the whole place to yourselves.

I'm sure others will have recommendations too.  Good luck!

  • I am getting married at the Manor next July.  They are affordable (in your price range) and have absolutely beautiful grounds and are known for their gourmet cuisine.  Good luck with your search.
  • I'm getting married at the Wilshire Grand next month.  They have a nice private ceremony area and the prices are amazing.  Try to work with John.  He is the BEST!
  • Def check out Brooklake Country Club, if your willing to get married on a Friday they would fall into your budget
  • Thanks for the suggestions!!!
  • Brooklake is beautiful but was way over budget... over $150 with tax/tip
The Brownstone is EXTREMELY affordable or the Primavera Regency is nice and affordable
  • The Graycliff is in your price range and has a new outdoor ceremony space.

  • My FI and I are paying for our wedding ourselves too and we chose the Somerset Hills Hotel. We'll be having our ceremony outside in their adorable garden and our reception inside. Price for a very all-inclusive package was just over $105 pp with tax and tip.
  • How many people are you looking to invite?  Many venues have minimums.  What month and what day of the week are you looking to get married?  Also, is your maximum price inclusive of tax and gratuity or just the base price?
  • Im getting married at Brooklake next week and paying much less than $150.....
  • Hope you don't mind if I ask the same question we are getting married on June 8th with 50 guest in the Princeton area and without liquor all costs are coming in just under $150 per person and I feel like I am doing something wrong. I am hosting a lunch btw. Please help. I need to cut cost and fear the guest list is as low as I can go with minimums. Thanks for any advice.
  • Lake Mohawk Country Club (sparta, nj) is in your price range and they have outdoor space available, right on the lake.
Lake Valhalla (montville, nj) offers outdoor space and would be in your price range depending on time of year.  For a Satruday evening in fall its about $140pp.
    Congratulations!
