I was supposed to be home on Friday. Long story short the small plane that took us from the major airport to the small island next to the island we stayed on was cancelled.... due to pilot fatigue, or over flying hours. So we had to stay on that island one night, then fly 6 am the next morning. Stay until 10 pm that following day and then leave Fiji. So crazy. But we didn't pay for either place we stayed at though, the air line that screwed us up did. All over an hour and 15 minute flight too. So silly.
Anyways, the wedding, was absolutely perfect. I could not have changed a thing really. Except for the hotel we were at, had a faulty fire alarm, and this went off at 3:30 am the night before my wedding and I could not fall asleep after that! So that was not funny. I felt crappy in the morning a little bit because I was so tired, but hen later adrenaline kicked in and I was much better.
Everything on the wedding day ran perfectly due to Erin Proud, I really could not love her any more. She is the best! I know the knotties can attest to everything being so awesome too. I did eat at my wedding, not everything that I wanted too but thats ok. and really the day does fly by, like in a flash!
The ceremony was so amazing! I loved my officiant Andy Mahaney, he is so great at what he does. My husband (!!) didn't ever write him back so he actually talked to him when he seen him right before the ceremony. That made me so happy and I had to choke back the tears when he started saying what DH was saying about me. Was so cute! I loved the ceremony and would not change anything. Oh and nobody talks about how surreal going down the aisle is.. it is like you have tunnel vision, and your man is at the end. That is pretty much all I seen. I could not tell you where anyone was sitting. I felt like during the ceremony it was only me, my officiant, DH, and best man, and my one photog. I used him to look at when I got too emotional. But I didn't wanna look at him too much as he was taking pics.
The reception, I kept getting pulled away for one thing or the next, which I knew would happen, but what killed me the most is when my family wanted to take this stupid family pic and nobody organized it, so me and H were outside before anyone else, and I left during my must play list songs, so I was frustrated that they all wanted this big pic and nobody could gather people to take it out front?! So that was the only thing that annoyed me that day.
The honeymoon was so amazing despite the end being so crazy and stressful. The little island we stayed on was called Qamea, and that is the resorts name too. Everyone was so nice there, they were like our friends from the get go. The staff is so sweet and everything was perfect there too. I loved every thing I ate! I don't know how I am supposed to go on and cook now. LOL I will post pics as soon as I get them all out of my camera. There are so many!
So for now I have today to rest up for work tomorrow, there is no way I could have gone back to work today, I am so messed up from being on a 16 hour time difference.
I am glad to be home though, I missed my friends, my dog, and my bed.
