Wedding ring - where to buy?

Hi ladies. I hope you are all having a good March thus far!

FI and I went to look at wedding rings yesterday! He bought my e-ring at Zales, so we went there as a starting point. He found one he liked, but I didn't like any of the options for myself. I think I need a curved ring since the setting around my solitaire extends further than the band, which creates a gap if I'm wearing just a regular wedding band next to it. I didn't like any other their options though for curved rings.  I've been happy with the quality of the Zales' e-ring and the service, and some were workable, but I didn't love any of em.

My question for you all is, can you recommend other places to look in the Philly area? Where did you get your rings? The two main places I've heard of in this area, besides the mall chains like Kay's, Gordon's etc., are Steven Singer and Jared's, but I've heard less than desirable things about each. Jared's has some that I like on their website, but I wanted to get your feedback before actually visiting.

I'd be grateful for your recommendations on jewelers for this! Thank you!

We plan on going to Jewelers Row.  My e-ring is an heirloom so I may choose to have something made.  I don't feel bad since my parents gave FI the ering lol.

My e-ring is from Zales too and I couldn't find anything to match it.  Zales can make you a custom ring, but I think you have to go to the store at a certain time or day to meet with a particular jeweler.

I just found a band last week at Jared's.  We're going this week to buy/order it because its the only ring I've found anywhere that I like.

Is your center stone setting raised so that a regular band can fit under it?  I noticed with my marquis cut stone, that the regular bands could fit under the setting and looked better.  The curved bands created a gap under the stone.

My wedding band is from David Jay in Warrington and we had such an amazing experience there.  If they don't have anything that matches what you want they will actually custom make it for you and can work within your budget.

We went to DeSumma and Wexler's on Jewler's row.  They were really great, showed me exactly what I was looking for, and let FI try on just about every ring in the store.  They also gave us a good deal since we bough both rings at the same time.

The first question they asked was whether I needed to fit the wedding band to the e-ring (I didn't) so they should be able to help you too!

I recommend browsing on jeweler's row too.  My e-ring is from Robbins Bros.  I will probably get the matching band there too, but FI is shopping around for his band.  We've been to a bunch of places, but are planning to take an afternoon in town to browse the stores.

My e-ring is from safian and rudolf on jewlers row.  We got our bands at David Jay in Warrington.  We looked for bands in jewlers row and also in KOP and I didn't find anything I really liked.  The woman at David Jay's really spent the time to make sure the band matched up with my e-ring.  No one else really seemed to care when I said I don't like the gap between the rings.

Both my ering and wedding bands are from Steven Singer.  Sometimes they can be a little unorganized in there but we've really had no other complaints.  We've become good friends with our jeweler and we always get great service whenever we stop in.  I didn't love the band that went with my ering, so I had 2 bands custom made to flank my ring.

E-ring from Kay, wedding bands from Ebay!

My E-ring and band are from Robbins 8th and Walnut location.  Every salesperson was VERY friendly and seemed very genuinely wanting to help (even if I was there for a fitting and my salesperson was not in at the time).  Ask for Melissa if you want good service, she was really great to work with.  Their prices were also very good and the owner was floating around randomly a few times we went, which is always good to see.

I didn't find mine here but B&E Jewlers in Southampton was friendly when I was looking.  They have very nice things outside of my price range (again tiny budget).  The one I am most likely going with I found at Kay's but am ordering off Overstock.com for a 1/3 the cost.

Got my wedding band at the Zales outlet in Rehoboth Delaware. They had a great selection of women's bands, men were a little pricey, but we saved a lot on taxes!

Ooodsie - we worked with Melissa at Robbins too!  She originally worked with FI and sold him my e-ring, then we went back to her to look at wedding bands.  She's awesome!

Sorry I'm a little late in getting back on this, but thank you everyone for your input. I have a good list of places to go ring shopping now!!
