I'm nervous, but probably don't need to be

Okay ladies...I just need some peace of mind...

So I ordered my dress at Marry and Tux back on April 8th.  They are customizing the back for me, so I figured it would take anywhere from 4-8 months for my dress to come in.

Well, I just moved out of my apartment in Nashua and moved back home with my parents just over the Mass.border to save some pennies for the wedding.  I called Marry and Tux and changed my address and phone number with them so that when my dress comes in they will know to call my parent's house rather than my now disconnected apartment phone.

I'm just feeling paranoid that because my old info is on the order that they won't know to call the house! when my dress comes in, which could be at any time now! Okay, I know I'm being crazy, but do you think I should call again or drive by just to make sure they know to call me here?

Personally, I would wait a couple of weeks after calling to change my info (so if that was a while ago, now, or if that was yesterday, wait a bit) and call to check on the status of your dress.  You could ask if they knew anything about when it'd be coming in, and while you were on the phone, double check that they entered your new info into the computer.  I'd say something like, "I also called a while ago to change my contact information, can I just verify with you that what you have down for me is correct?"
    HTH! :)

Well, they don't call anyway.  They send a letter. So, do you have a forwarding address?  If so, the letter will find it's way to you.

BTW, I hate that they send a letter instead of call.  I really, truly DON'T get that at all.  They did the same for the BM dresses.  They sent ME a letter to tell all of the girls their dresses are in and how much they owe... couldn't they have just called each girl to tell them?  Irritating.

    Sorry for the tangent :)

You can always just stop in when you're in the area, mention you called and you just wanted to check to make sure the info is correct. I know I personally would feel better talking to a warm body than just hoping someone took down the info correctly. I'm suuuuure everything is fine, but for some peace of mind I'd stop in and talk to someone.

Thanks ladies! I appreciate the help! I'm feeling a bit calmer now!

elizabeth, that's a good way of putting it.

I did set up my mail forwarding, so that should be just fine. xoxpipahxox  thanks for the heads up on that.  My BM's are planning on going there for their dresses too at the beginning of october, so I'll be sure to let them know about the letter thing.

Jillbeans, I'm not super far away from there, so the next time I'm in the area I think I will do that just to check in with a human being.  I agree...in person does always seem to get more things accomplished.
