What is everyone's wedding style?

Do you have a specific theme/idea you are going for in your wedding?

What type of venue do are you getting married at? Ceremony/Reception

What are your wedding colors?
_____________________________________________________________
My wedding will be "rustic" which by the looks of it on many wedding boards and pinterest is the new big thing. It's nice to have so many ideas floating around out there. There will be a lot of lace and burlap decor, along with some earthy tones in the flowers, lighting etc...

We are getting married in a renovated Dairy Barn in South Carolina. The loft upstairs is where our ceremony will be held, in front of that giant window in the picture. The floor and ceiling are all wooden, and we'll have white chairs. No additional decor, I like the natural beauty. Then downstairs is a cocktail room that is wooden, the cake will be housed in the old milking pen, and the reception room is floor to ceiling white! This is where the burlap comes in, table runners, lace embroidery hoops hanging from the ceiling... and some wooden chairs

Our colors are navy with accents of white, and yellow. The girls dresses, napkins, straws etc are navy, flowers are yellows and whites.

Can't wait to hear about your weddings!

Do you have a specific theme/idea you are going for in your wedding?
Not really, just a classic feel and we are keeping it very traditional.

What type of venue do are you getting married at? Ceremony/Reception
Ceremony is a church and our pastor is a family friend. Our reception is at a local reception hall :)

What are your wedding colors?
Shades of pinks and black
• Do you have a specific theme/idea you are going for in your wedding?
We don't really have a theme per-se, but most everything we're doing is quirky. Where we don't have a quirky idea, we're generally defaulting to traditional.

What type of venue do are you getting married at?
We're getting married in a museum - they have a little white church from the 1800s that we'll be using.

Our reception is going to be at a reception hall with one of the most traditional caterers in the area - in fact, it's the exact same place that my parents had their reception!

What are your wedding colors?
Our colors are mainly kelly green with touches of orange, yellow and white florals. Strangely enough, my Maid of Honor's dress inspired this scheme, since its a floral dress with green, white, orange and yellow.

• Do you have a specific theme/idea you are going for in your wedding?
Not specifically, but it seems to be rustic and sort of off beat since we are doing our own thing rather than following really traditional guidelines.

What type of venue do are you getting married at? Ceremony/Reception
Ceremony is at a former Catholic Church that is now a recording studio and concert hall. The reception is at an old steel foundary that is now a restaurant.

What are your wedding colors?
Different shades of purple and mint green.

Our whole wedding is very traditional with kind of some quirky "surprises"I would say its "hollywood glam" because thats kind of the color sceme I am going with, light pinks, golds, champagnes.

We are having a champagne bar and champagne colored linens etc.

We are getting married someplace that doesn't really fit the bill. rather than getting married in kind of an oppulent church we are getting married in a teeny tiny white seaside chapel. Its my only thing that doesnt really" match" perse. but I kind of moved away from hollywood glam for that and more into garden party...
if that makes sense.

Our venue is beachside, but I didn't want a nautical or beach themed wedding. I'm so sick of starfish on the tables.

DeClue, I'm don't usually go for rustic decor but your style sounds beautiful! It sounds "clean"- not in a bad way, but in a simple yet elegant way- as in just enough to make it beautiful without going over the top- which is much like my style.

Theme- our theme is a garden party, which has morphed into more emphasis on butterflies than flowers. I wanted to have our reception at the Botanical Gardens but their caterer is way too expensive so we are focusing on flowers, butterflies and lots of color in our reception decor. Our colors are sangria and lime green.

Venue- our ceremony is at the church I grew up at and our reception will be at Klemmer's Banquet Center. It's not a unique reception venue, contrary to what is popular now, but they have amazing food and service, a good price, and most importantly fits the amount of people we are inviting!
I wanted to have our reception at the Botanical Gardens but their caterer is way too expensivel
I also live in Milwaukee, and find the prices there laughable.  It's really too bad, but I suppose they have wedding parties willing to go into debt for a party.

• Do you have a specific theme/idea you are going for in your wedding?
We dont have a set "theme", but I guess it's sort of rustic overall....

What type of venue do are you getting married at?
We're getting married in the church I grew up in, and our reception will be at a local winery.

What are your wedding colors?
Our colors are champagne and baby blue.
• Thank you bridejl! That is exactly the idea that we wanted, simple elegance. (And different from my sister getting married 7 months after us... she luckily is a traditional ballroom bride, so our weddings will be nothing alike!)

All your weddings sound beautiful and different. Amazing how much will be going on out there in August!

We're doing sort of a Victorian Alice in Wonderland goes to the Maine seashore thing. I'm doing a lot with the John Tenniel drawings from the original AiW books, and the kids' dining room will be set up like a giant tea party. I did the menus like backwards clocks and the escort cards are keys with fancy tags hanging on an old door. The centerpieces are going to be stacked teacups with mosses and flowers kind of falling out of them. Our venue is already decorated in an AiW way, so it was pretty easy to just go in that direction.

What type of venue do are you getting married at? Ceremony/Reception
Our venue is a restaurant in Southern Maine on a tidal saltwater marsh, where the ocean water and river water mix.

What are your wedding colors?
blush pink/peach, gray, silver, ivory, black with touches of green
• IcLemence that is so original! I've never heard of anyone doing that before, but it sounds beautiful! We will all have to come back and post pictures from our days afterward, I would def. love to see all the work put into these big days!

Do you have a specific theme/idea you are going for in your wedding?
We are going with a vintage picnicy feel, simple and fun are whats important to us plus the vintage look/feel is the one thing we both like and agreed on.

What type of venue do are you getting married at?
We are getting married in a provincial park over looking the ocean. Its not a beach but a small field on a small cliff above the beach/ocean. Our reception is at the restaurant where hubby to be is the head chef. We are buying out the basment of the restaurant and seving lots (and i mean lots) of heavy apps instead of a real meal as we wanted more of a party then a dinner.

What are your wedding colors?
different shades of green (mainly apple) with black and white accents. we love the clean look of black and white but its getting so over done that we (ok I ) choose green because our dating anniversary is on st pattys day.
Pumpernickel and olive juice
• rascal our dating anniversary is 3/14! But met on a St. Patrick's Day pub crawl! How fun, the cliffside park sounds really pretty!

What type of venue do are you getting married at? Ceremony/Reception
It is up in the air at this moment, (venue issues)  but It looks like it is going to be looking over the bay and then the ceremony outside on the deck.

What are your wedding colors?
Aqua...actually pretty much any tropical shade of blue and green at this point, and a creamy orange

Do you have a specific theme/idea you are going for in your wedding?
Rustic chic? We've got lots of burlap, Kraft paper, mason jars, invites are wrapped in twine with little turquoise birds on them, and our cake is on a tree slice I got from a friend's dad after the tree crashed through their roof... My dress is lace and I'm currently scattering rhinestones on my veil. So pretty!

What type of venue do are you getting married at?
It's an old (pre 1900s) restored ball room that was an antique shop in the '80s. It has 100+ year old reclaimed wood floors, 100+ year old brick on one of the walls, beautiful rafters, and an entire wall (for the ceremony) that has floor to ceiling windows. It even has a ballet barre. So me!

What are your wedding colors?

Lots of natural colors. Our "theme" colors are shades of turquoise, chocolate brown, and the flowers will be light pink.

Can't wait to see it all come together!

My wedding is going to be pretty modern in style, with some vintage elements, pretty simple and clean in general. I want to work in a bit of a photography theme without it being too in your face, so I have a cool idea of incorporating pictures into the escort cards, a photo booth (of course), and I'm not sure how yet, but I want to incorporate some of my vintage/antique cameras into the decor.

What type of venue do are you getting married at? Ceremony/Reception
Both ceremony and reception will be  in an event space above a restaurant. It has a real lofty feel with exposed beams and modern lighting, and has an entire wall of windows as well as a large, amazing bar in front of those windows.
What are your wedding colors?
My wedding colors are simple black and white with some pops of purple.

We are using the skyline of Los angeles for our invites, printed our reception cards with "taking our love to new heights" because our reception is located on the 54th floor of a skyrise in downtown....super excited!! Its modern city feel

What type of venue do are you getting married at?
Our ceremony will take place at local catholic church...i almost said no to having a catholic cermony but so glad my fiance and I decided to do it. The church is absolutely beautiful and our families faith is extremely important to us.

What are your wedding colors?
Our colors are grey and purple :)

• Britoz, we are on the same wavelength. I have a lot of those elements too. The stump for a cake stand... from FI's family farm. Woodslice coasters, walnut from his grandfathers farm for some signage. FI is super crafty and great with all things wood so he is doing a lot of our DIY projects...

• Do you have a specific theme/idea you are going for in your wedding? It's going to be simple and kind of rustic, I suppose. We're having dried flowers for bouquets and simple milk bottle centerpieces with bouquets of alstroemerias, no limos, no garter or bouquet toss. I'm making my own layer cake to cut and it will be displayed on a tree slice.

What type of venue do are you getting married at? The ceremony will be in a small Catholic church.

And the reception will be across the street at a historical hall.

What are your wedding colors? Green and yellow, essentially summer-y colors, with touches of red for luck (I'm half Chinese.)

• Do you have a specific theme/idea you are going for in your wedding?
Not really.. SIMPLE is my motto.... though its kind of turned into a Daisy theme, since Gerbera daisies are the only flower you'll see there and a lot of my decorations have daisy, cake will have daisy etc.

What type of venue do are you getting married at? Ceremony/Reception
We are having everything at one place, and its a golf club. We will be getting married on the course (weather permitting) and then the reception will be in their banquet hall which is really beautiful with cathederal wood ceilings and half window walls on 3 sides.
What are your wedding colors?
Black and Hot Pink (my fav color is Pink, Fi's is black- it fit perfectly) we are also getting the hot pink gerber daisies with black centers, girls are wearing black dresses with pink accents, so you'll se the black and the pink will POP!
