From all of your previous posts, I think you should keep looking, at least for a little longer.

It's not that I don't think that this dress could not be "the one" it's just that I see soooo many people on these boards who find dresses later and love them just as much, maybe more. I think you said you've tried on 15 dresses and only a couple have been mermaid... in this case, definitely keep looking!   That's not that many dresses at all, it's an important day, you should try on enough until you know for sure.

If you go to a few more places and find that it's still the one all the others can't beat, then you can be confident and order it.  I think you still have plenty of time, so don't feel rushed!

if you have to ask if you should stop looking... then no, you should not stop looking.  The moment I put my dress on, I knew it was the one.  I know everybody says it, and you may not believe it... but it is true.  You just know the one!

I did buy dress early, but whenever I get that itch I just take a look at my dress and then it's like..."aww, thats my DRESS... and I fall in love all over again

Beside, wedding dresses are different then just a dress in a store. If in a couple of months you still haven't found something better, I am sure you wont have any trouble ordering this same dress.

Which ever you choose, best of luck!

i just dont know if I'll ever have the "this is the one" moment!  But I will heed your advice and maybe spend a day in Atlanta before making the big purchase :) I have plenty of time before the wedding so I'm not in a rush to order.

I think you should stop looking...for now.

Give it a few months and wait until next season's line comes out.  When there are new and fresh styles to see, start shopping again.  Like you've said, you have plenty of time.

I didn't have "the moment." I tried my dress on, first dress ever, kept trying the other 3 at that shop, put the first back on before leaving just to see it again, as my Mom did like it (but she didn't like cry or do any of that mess). And we ARE sentimental people. The next day we went to another shop to try on like 3 more, and then all of a sudden in the car after that shop I decided I wanted the first one. I called and bought it over the phone right then. I just kept comparing back to it in my mind or to whatever I was trying on. And it is not exactly what I thought I'd pick either. I was hesitant because it was a size 10 and I was a 2 or 4, but I couldn't order it in my size as it was a previous year. I knew I wasn't going to find anything with half what it had to offer and similar to what I was thinking in the price range so after comparing back and trying on just a few other dresses in its price range nothing came close. That is how "I knew." So don't be surprised if your "just knowing" moment, isn't so movie-esque. But I was then ecstatic upon purchasing (even though I wasn't there to see it being on the phone) and what it was is what I then fell more and more in love with as it was MY dress. I looked at others in pictures but never considered wanting anything different from that moment forward--dress wise. Good luck.

I agree with Janice....and Mary.  Maybe just take a little break since you have some time.  I was getting low on time (if I had needed to order it) when I finally ventured out to look at dresses.  So, I had to go several days in a row until I found the perfect one.  I was so stressed out because I wasn't finding what I was looking for.  I think you can actually look too hard.  Hang in there and best of luck in your search.

I know what you are struggling through, bc I had the same issue when i was trying to pick out my dress.  I rushed into a decision which was not good at all.  So, keep looking.  On the other hand, i am curious about the dress that you picked.  Will you mind sending me the pictures and show me??

I never got that OMG THIS IS MY DRESS moment. You may never, so don't keep looking because you want that moment, but keep looking if you aren't 100 percent sure if you like yourself in the dress. HTH!

Have you looked at the Pronovias wedding dresses, they have alot of mermaid/trumpet dresses at reasonable prices. Thats what my dress was, and it was a trumpet style.

    Good Luck!

Sophia- just pm'ed you pictures.  If you regret your first dress purchase, are you considering shopping for a 2nd and selling the first one?

Kristy- I LOVE the neckline of your dress!! The back of yours is gorgeous too! I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one who may never have an emotional response to a dress. I've been shopping alone for the most part.  I don't really want to be influenced by others.  I have gone with another knottie a couple of times. We're both in the dress-obsessed stage of wedding planning. Not only that, but we're both getting married in Aruba within a month of each other. I love that we connected here!

Like you, I keep comparing everything I try on to that first dress...which is a pretty good sign i think!
