Irrational Irritations

I have already seen the same commercial 4 times today, for "going to school in my pajamas."  And it annoys the crap out of me that the girl in the commercial has her hair and makeup fully done to take online classes, but then has her pj's on.

Re: Irrational Irritations

  • I'm irritated with the target black friday commercials with the woman in a red jumpsuit ... and the waist in the jump suit is completely unflattering... and she's doing workouts to prep for shopping?

I also get irrationally irritated when watching a football game and there is one fan who constantly yells... and they HAPPEN to be right by where the microphones are picking up crowd noise.  Yeah, my entire living room doesn't want to hear you yelling "block that kick" 40 times, or "come on defense"!  We need a method of notifying fans who are sticking out of the crowd noise so that they can be moved to a different spot in the stadium.

I'm also completely irritated with the 18 yr old posting on "bridesmaid for a young bride" on M&M... I tried to offer advice for her scenario, and her response to me was very ... umm... immature.  Come on chica, I teach teenagers for a living.  I wasn't even as "direct" about the immaturity of the bride at the ripe young age of 17 as other posters were, and STILL you act as if NO ONE was helping you.  RRRRGH.

I'm irritated with one of my coworkers who is using equipment in my classroom or in the auditorium at school when THAT EQUIPMENT DOESN'T BELONG TO HER!  I came in today (only part-time) and the upright piano in the auditorium was moved and OPEN!  Only teachers are allowed to use that piano... and by "teachers," I mean ME (the chorus teacher) and the band teacher.  Oh, and at least the band teacher asks me if she can use the CHORUS PIANO before she takes the trouble to move it.

GROWL.  It's monday after a break.  There's bound to be some heads crashing into walls today.
July 16, Our Wedding Day, is also International Juggling Day!

  • Pep Boys is the devil and totally ruined my car!!!!
  • Mandy I hate when H does that.  Right before he left we had a big of sweet potato chips that were amazing, and he kept taking the bag upstairs with him when he played his computer game and I would get so mad.  I just sent him a huge Costco size bag of the chips though in his last care package, and got a bag for myself as well.

  • Here's a really irrational one.  One of the brokers I work for keeps a mug of change in his office and has told me and the other admin if we ever need to get some change for a soda or something to help ourselves.  I hate doing it when he's in his office, though, so I'm irrationally irritated that this guy isn't out of the office at the moment so I can steal his money to get a soda.

  • I'm not irrationally irritated, but I am irrationally afraid of calling strangers on the phone.
  • I hate when people eat near me where it's not typically a place where one would eat. My biggest one is the train. Rush hour on the MBTA is hard enough and if you do find a seat your leg is touching the person next to you. You would not believe the people who eat while pretty much sitting on top of you. Not to mention how disgusting, old, and dirty our trains are around here. Would these people eat in a bathroom? ::shudder::
People are always eating 1) McDonalds 2) an apple or 3) a yogurt that they want to scrape the bottom of the container for 10 minutes straight. Sends me to the moon.
Also: Gum chewing. I don't want to hear you snap your gum. It's disgusting. Same goes for blowing bubbles. Keep it in your mouth please.

  • I wanted the bag to last me the week.  Now it'll be done tonight probably.  So irriational.  And so silly.  But, god I was mad when I went to have a couple last night and there were ten left.  I'm like "what the eff dude?"  And he was all, "ooh yeah i had a couple."  Yeah right.

He does that with my Annie's macaroni too.  I had a case, he ate 10 out of 12 boxes.  I buy the regular stuff for him.  But, he eats my annies.

I joked with him though.  Yesterday marked 6 years of being together and so I was like "did you get me a present?"  ANd he goes "no."  So, I go like, "so you eat my almonds on our anniversary AND you don't get me a gift?!"  Jerk.  :P

  • I hate it when my H gets up before I do and turns on the lights and is loud.  Mostly I hate it because he gets sooo mad when I do it.

  • When people don't go RIGHTNOW when the light turns green. PAY ATTENTION AND JUST GO ALREADY.

When people walk (slowly) in the MIDDLE of aisles, sidewalks, whatever. PICK A SIDE AND COMMIT AND LET ME GET THROUGH.

Not using a plate or papertowel when you snack.

I get REALLY irrationally irritated about back tracking.

Along the same lines, if I'm riding with someone somewhere and they take a route that I think is way longer or a stupid way to go. IRRATIONALLY. IRRITATED.

Haha I loved those commercials.  Probably because I've been that crazy person running through Target on black Friday before for a TV.

  • When my morning routine is messed up for whatever reason. Like this morning the cat threw up, so I had to clean it up in between brushing my teeth/putting in contacts and getting dressed for work.

When H uses a weird dish to eat or drink out of. Like, a huge serving bowl for a helping of mashed potatoes or a baking pan for a couple pizza slices.

When one of H's workers hangs out for a couple beers after work instead of going home. But this isn't irrational, I just don't like him.

  • I'm irrationally irritated at my professor for not posting his whiteboard notes to Vista like he always does. I skipped class last week, and was planning to use them to catch up before tonight. But now I'll just be lost. I'm hoping he sent everyone home last week and that's why there's nothing loaded.

  • I hate those commercials too.

I also hate listening to people eat when I'm not eating.  There's something about the sound of chewing that grosses me out.

I hate this too. H is forbidden from taking "shortcuts" when I'm in the car with him because his shortcuts always take us at least 10 to 15 minutes longer. Usually because roads are blocked and he forgot, bridges are closed, he takes wrong turns, or it's just a longer way to go in general.
  • I'm irrationally irritated at Best Buy for not asking me to verify my shipping address last week when I ordered my laptop and Flip.  I was going too fast trying to get the order completed before they sold out, and didn't realize that it only asked for billing address and not shipping.  So my new stuff got mailed clear to the other side of the country to my parent's house.  Luckily my dad rocks and came home early from hunting today to wait for UPS to come, and then went and mailed them to me.

  • I hate calling people on the phone, too.  HATE IT.

  • I hate calling strangers, too. I avoid it at all costs.
  • Ohhh, H eating all of something drives me crazy too. We just have such different styles - I like to save yummy food, and he likes to eat it all right this second, so I end up screwed. I have tried buying separate ice cream flavors to fight this problem (and because he thinks just chocolate is boring), but it ends up with him eating all of his and half of mine. Dude, I know I'm an only child, but just don't touch my stuff!

Also, HA. Mandy's husband isn't perfect after all. I knew there was a chink in his armor somewhere
  • I wish I could think of all of these at once.

I hate when people call my cell phone while I'm on the other line, and instead of leaving a voicemail then instead hang up and call back a minute later.  Seriously, with verizon you can tell that I'm on the other line.

I really hate North Korea right now for its threats on South Korea and the fear that it has created for me, which leaves me unable to sleep at night.

  • *HUGS* DNB.

I'm irritated that my throat has started hurting.

I'm irritated that "so many people requested Christmas off" that H is now working Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas.  Which means we can't go see his family at all this Christmas.  The schedule at the hospital is only supposed to give someone either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and he got saddled with both.  Which is a bunch of BS.

Maybe that's not too irrational. I'm probably doin' it wrong.

I also don't like when I hear so many people say that when they have kids they want 'Boys because they're easier".

I think it's a myth that boys are easier to raise and it irrationally irritates me that so many think this- I'm not sure why since I don't even have kids yet. If boys are so easy then why is 97% of our prison population men? This may be an Ad Hominen argument, but still!
We must be doing something wrong. I also believe that boys go through just as much as girls...you just verbally hear the girl talk about it. Boys IMO are not as likely to open up about their emotions and/or what's going on in their heads. I would rather hear/see my daughter going through a hormonal melt down than not know about it at all.
And the whole "easiness" argument...I'm not planning on having kids because I think it's easy.

The dealership where I got my Jeep will call with messages from my uncle (he's the general manager), and when you answer it says "while you were away we recorded this message..."  I'm not away, I answered the phone.
