large cake or fairy cakes?

basically that is it.
Do we go for a 2 or 3 tiered cake
or
lots and lots of fairy cakes - (perhaps in 2 or 3 different flavours?)

I just like cake - so I don't know

Personally, I like wedding cake. I think it's visually more appealing and I like the traditional aspect l of it.
  • I love cake in just about any form, but for a wedding, I prefer a cake to cupcakes/fairy cakes.  I like the filling option in a layer cake, and I think it's better suited to a more formal (no peeling, no wrappers left around).

I have seen the option of doing a tiered cake and then a bunch of the miniature bite-size fairy cakes (made without wrappers) in a variety of flavors, and that seemed nice.
