HELP KNOTTIES WITH MOTHER/SON DANCE.. 23 days to go!!!

My FMIL wants "wind beneath my wings" or "because you loved me" and my fiance cannot stand either one of those songs!

We're dancing to Michael Buble & my dad & I are dancing to Jimmy Buffett so we want an upbeat possibly modern song ...


PLEASE HELP!!!

    My fi and FMIL are dancing to "I'll Stand By You" - The Pretenders

    also not upbeat or modern but touching nonetheless :)

    I agree that simple man is a great song..if you want a more modern version, the band Shinedown covered it and it's great!  Also, Thank You Mom by Good Charlotte is another great one.  Good luck!

    Why don't you have your FI and FMIL sit down and talk about this? It is after all a special moment between them.  They should be able to agree on a song that has meaning for both of them (and that they both can stand).  GOOD LUCK

    My FI and FMIL and my Stepdad and I will be sharing the dance.  FI doesn't want to be the center of attention more than he has to be, so we are sharing.  We picked "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts.  Not overly upbeat, but somewhat (we can slow two-step to it), and it is a newer song.
