Coffee Recs?

It's late, I'm awake and I'm bored out of my mind. Just looking for a little conversation!

I absolutely love coffee and am just wondering what everyone else drinks? I've become addicted to those little individual Starbucks instant coffee packs (easy-peasy), but I just tried this fancy organic fair trade local stuff and was severely disappointed in it. What's in your cup?

ETA: I like tea too, so if you love a fabulous tea, feel free to share.

Re: Coffee Recs?

  • I love doubleshots and iced coffee in general. Me and hot coffee don't get along as well, though I don't get why since doubleshots have caffeine. Whenever I get a peppermint mocha or something it upsets my stomach and bladder issues (I have interstital cystitis), but I just had a doubleshot today and I'm fine.

I work at a gas station (Quiktrip-they are in Texas but more Dallas area than SA) and we just got an organic fair trade blend in a few weeks ago. It's not very popular. =/

  • We like Dunkin Donuts coffee, especially the seasonal flavors.  We try to stash a few bags in the freezer when it's on sale.

  • We got a Keurig for Christmas, so we have been experimenting with all the flavors and brands they make. So far my favorite is Tully's French Roast. I like strong kick-me-in-the-face coffee, though.

FI is into Green Mountain French Vanilla.

Before we had the Keurig, we drank New England Coffee and nothing else. We need to buy that adapter thing so we can keep drinking that sometimes, too, even though they don't make K-cups yet.

  • Barnie's coffee is the best! Don't know if you have any where you live, but we have them in Florida. I drink the Santa's White Christmas coffee year round!!! It's one of their most popular flavors, which is why it's no longer seasonal. :)

  • Community coffee and Tim Horton's are regulars in our house. I work for a non profit and we just started importing and selling coffee from Haiti it is amazing, right up there with Jamaican Blue.

<div>I LOVE Santa's White Christmas! H is from FL and it's my IL's favorite coffee (H doesn't drink coffee at all - weirdo!).  IL's introduced it to me - they drink it year round too. They only have stores in central FL though. We got my IL's and my parents both some for Christmas.  But yeah, YUM.</div><div>

  • We love Blue Mountain Coffee too.  We just got some 8 o'clock for the first time the other day since it was on sale and really like that too.

As for tea we get it from Harney & Sons, (clicky).  They are local to us, but they are an international company.

  • We usually drink Dunkin Dark.  I make my own homemade caramel macchiatos with this and it is de.li.cious.

FILs swear by Trader Joes.  We are getting our first Trader Joes in the metroplex this spring so I'll test it out then.
