Grooms dinner???

We are going to have our rehearsal in Stillwater and we are looking for a place for the grooms dinner- it doesn't have to be in Stillwater but anywhere nearby would probably work. Do any of you know of a place that allows outside beverages/food to be brought in? The MIL is planning on making wine for everybody and bring in a home made Norwegian cake and we would like to have a neighbor bake a cake for us (non licensed).

Thanks!

So... do you just want a venue where you'd bring in all of your own food... or just a restaurant or something that would allow you to bring the wine and cake? If you're looking for a restaurant, I would HIGHLY recommend The Dock Cafe. My DH and I had our RD there and it was fantastic. The food was amazing, the service incredible, and the prices not too terribly high. With that said, I have NO IDEA if they'd let you bring that stuff in... but it's worth asking. Especially when it's non-licensed stuff, it's a little tricky... but they might allow it if you ask sweetly enough :-)

How many people?  I agree with PP that Dock Cafe is excellent and great food.  Also, Lowell Inn has a few private rooms but they have to cater it, however it's a great price if you have a small party and they have a really fun fondue meal that we tried and loved it!  http://www.lowellinn.com/dining.html

Funny- our reception will be at Lowell Inn! :) They do not allow non-licensed food/drinks to be brought in though- we are looking for a place that will allow us to just bring in our home made wine and cakes. We are looking at maybe 40 people for the groom's dinner.

Will check out the Dock Cafe too, thanks!
