  • The real issue is that you're acting like a brat who isn't getting her way. Ways to cope? Realize that the wedding belongs to your FI just as much as it belongs to you. Realize that it's ONE day. My wedding was great, but it doesn't define my marriage. Don't let yours get off on the wrong foot by refusing to take your FI's wants into consideration.

If you think you are stressed now, I cant wait to see how you react to premarital agreement sessions with your legal representation.
Ha! This just made my day.

On a serious note: chill the fuuck out. People get married every day. You are not the first to be stressed out and you wont be the last. But try to have a little dignity.

<div>You kind of are acting like a brat. When I suggested a fall wedding as a compromise your reasons it wouldn't work were 1) it's not the seaon you wanted and 2) you want a carnival wedding. My response is 1) that's why it's called a compromise and 2) I've been to more carnivals in the fall than in the summer. There is not a "carnival season".</div>

Do you need examples of why someone might think you were acting like a brat? I don't think you're looking for someone to talk you down; you've been offered plenty of sound advice. I believe what you're looking for is validation, which I don't think you're going to find here.

  • It doesn't matter who stands up there with you.  You don't have to like them.  They just have to have the hair, dress, shoes, jewelry, and makeup that you dictate.  It's about the VISION!

  • I'm scared of clowns too, although I would seriously dig the fair theme food at the wedding. I'm thinking nachos, pretzels, cotton candy, deep fried everything. Mmm, I'm ready for the fair now.

There is a small button you can use for private messages. If you think you know someone, you can use it.
Saying what you said in the middle of this thread was creepy. I am officially creeped out by you.
Congratulations, thats an accomplishment you should be proud of.
