So I survived the storm.  Today is a lot better, although we're suppose to still get a lot of rain here, but the winds are over.  I had to drive around a good part of yesterday afternoon and I got really scared seeing trees come down around me- and trust me, I'm a very hearty New Englander who rarely stops driving for anything.  I canceled my last students and went home and assembled invitations!  My parents house (where I'm staying for the storm) never lost power- hallelujah!  Our apartment did though, so I'll be staying at my parents house for a few more days.

How did everyone else fair?

    I'm I south central PA near the Capitol and about 1.5 hours from Philly. Left work at noon yesterday and took enough work home with me so I didnt need to go in today. We were lucky at our house, never lost power, no water in the basement, and no broken tree limbs. There is a lot of flooding, downed trees, and people without power in this area though. I'm very thankful we didn't get hit like NJ and NYC. I feel awful for all those people!

    No power since 2 AM not sure if it's back on, some water in the basement but not too bad at my house.

    Hopefully RDR is ok, she lives right in the middle of it all doesn't she?

    Glad to hear you're okay! My sister lives in Brooklyn and is staying at a friend's for the time being. My best friend also lives in PA, she didn't lose power but there was a lot of rain for her. 

    Yeah, I hope Rachel's okay too! From what I've hear on the news, NJ got hit really bad.

    So glad to hear you ladies are ok. We were really lucky and didn't loose power or have any major damage where we are in northern Delaware. A lot of people down state weren't so lucky. Thankfully most of them listened and evacuated before the worst hit. I just got off the phone with my best friend who's dad ignored the evacuation and stayed in Lewes. Fortunately he is ok, but I was very concerned for his safety. His house isn't too far from Rehoboth beach.

    Good to hear from everyone! Where I live in CT we didn't have many problems, just internet out for a bit, but the town where I work is on the coast towards NYC and got hit really badly.  I think our building is flooded, so probably no work again tomorrow.

    I survived also! We lost power around 11 last night and it still hasn't come back.  Luckily, one of my friends lives down the road and got power back, so I've been there.

    Hi guys! I survived! 

    My neighborhood flooded basically to my chest. Our basement got it pretty bad and we've been without power since 8pm on Monday. Luckily our apartment is on the third floor so other than being terrified when the wind would physically shake our building during the height of the storm, we fared pretty well. 

    My parents live in Cape May and their house is doing well also. 

    My aunt has a summer house in Ocean City, NJ, though, and we don't have any idea how that's doing. 

    Thanks so much for thinking of me and I'm glad everyone is doing well!

    Checking in from Jersey. I had to evacuate Hoboken and the town is under water. Not sure when I'll get back. My venue was also a couple blocks from ocean and heard surrounding area also got hit hard.

    Checking in from Bucks Co here!  We have been without power since 4pm Monday.  Our area got hit very hard, but we were lucky there was no flooding and no trees hit our building or cars.  Others were not so fortunate and it is devastating to see.  I'm at work now we have partial power and running off generators until fully restored.
