The Chateau at Coindre Hall...any reviews?

I am going to see this venue tomorrow.  We just got engaged and are planning a fall 2011 wedding.  Does anyone have any opinions/info/reviews about Coindre Hall?  I am looking to spend 20k max.  Thank you!

I have heard the place is beautiful, one of my clients (at work) had her daughter's wedding there this past Sept and the only thing negative she had to say was that the party is seporated, like there are a few different rooms that the party takes place in, she said on one hand it was good because if people wanted to talk then they could go in the one room that the band/dj wasnt in but she didnt really like it because she felt like it was too seporated and everyone wasnt together. But she said everything else was great and  the food was very good. GL :)

Hello, How did it go? I am also considering Coindre hall and would like to work within a reasonable budget. Are you able to bring in any caterer you want or do you have to choose from their preferred caterers? How was the site fee?
    any feedback is greatly appreciated

My husband and I were married at Coindre Hall in November (11/6/10) and I cannot say enough good things about it.  The site fee was waived, the food was the best at any wedding I've ever had.  All of our guests are still talking about how it was the best wedding, that they've ever been to.  John Schlenke, the banquet manager is fantastic.  I was also concerned about the separation of dining room and ballroom for dancing but we fixed that simply by putting a live video feed of the dance floor into the dining room.  Everyone was able to see everything that was going on in the other room and it was not an issue at all.  We also put a few cocktail tables around the dance floor with seating for those who wanted to hang out in the dancing room without dancing.
The food is world class, high end, gourmet.  Absolutely delicious...literally, people are still commenting on the salad.  Who does that???? That's how great it was!!!  Good luck with all your planning and I cannot say how thrilled we are that we chose Coindre Hall for our wedding.Laughing

It's now 6 months later and we have received 2 hand-written notes from out of town guests as to how much they enjoyed our wedding at Coindre Hall.  It truly is a wonderful and unique place...fairytale in every way!

Hi, I noticed a message you posted about having to plan a fall wedding for 2011.  My fiance and I JUST got engaged a little over 2 weeks ago, and we're starting to think about planning for a september or october 2012 wedding.

How is your experience going? And do you have any tips on planning in this NY, NJ area?  If you don't mind sharing the info, i'm just trying to get some insight regarding venues.  We are looking for a place with indoor and outdoor accomodations, with a capacity of maybe 200.  Any recommendations?  Somewhere green though, and pretty.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks,
    V

I've booked my wedding for Sept 2012.
Absolutely loved the feeling of the place despite the dinner and dancing in seperate rooms.  They assured me the maitre'd does a fantastic job of keeping the flow of the reception btw the two rooms.
