Books/Resources etc

Hi! I'm recently engaged and planning on a 2 year engagement. However, I am TOTALLY new to the wedding world having only attended a few weddings in my lifetime. I'm looking for any suggestions on books/planners/any other resources that people have used and loved...or on the contrary have hated or found useless (aka I shouldnt waste my time and money!). ANY advice is really really appreciated! Thanks so much!

Congrats! Check out the wedding section of your library. My favorite favorite book was Bridal Bargains. I also liked The Complete Idiot's Guide to Planning a Wedding.

I second Bridal Bargains! Go to the library and read all their books for free. ok, maybe not all, I skipped the books published before 1995.

I found Wedding Etiquette Book - 3rd edition by Holly Lefevre $9.95 B&N to be useful. (Has guest list, planning, budget, bridal party, ceremony, reception, invites, tradition, pre-wedding party info all in 186 pages includes questions/answers) Also, I would suggest buying a wedding organizer (exclusively weddings online or catalog) has a great personalized one so you can stay organized and keep everything, contracts, vendor info, together.
