How did you organize the items that you gave to the venue?

I am dropping mine off to them the day before the wedding.  I feel like I have a lot, cake table things, cake topper, amenity baskets, table numbers, escort cards, ect.  I am just trying to figure out the best way to package it.  Right now I have the table numbers fitting in a neatly labeled shoe box.  That will work for more little things, but not sure about the bigger items.  Thanks!!

    I used boxes or paper bags to separate things. I tried to put everything that belonged together in one bag. So, for instance, I made a box with all of the contents of my table décor (it was a lot). So each box had the candles, LED lights, bowls, vases & table number. Then the outside was marked with LastName/LastName Wedding Table X. I did the same for the sweetheart table, entry table, ceremony table…etc. I tried to keep it together to dummy proof it. If it was fragile, it got wrapped in newspaper. Then each box/bag had an inventory list. That way the person opening knew what was in there & what should go back in it at the end of the night so I didn’t lose anything.

    I put everything in a tote together. I took pictures and had notes about what to do with each item, which went on top of the item. My escort cards were in a little bag in the tote.

    I'm a teacher so I got OCD about it. I placed each item in it's box or a bag and wrote our name and date on it. I then put all of the items inside one of those big plastic tubs also labeled with out name and date.

    Me too. I had several big plastic tubs that everything went into, labeled clearly. I also included detailed instructions with photos of how I wanted everything laid out. Can you review it with your maitre d beforehand? We did that too and he took a ton of notes.

    Yes, when I drop it off the day before she told me that she takes inventory on it.  I think I will stick to keeping things in labeled boxes, that will make it easy for set up.

    I wedding coordinator told me I was the most organized bride she ever had.

    I kept things that went together in the same box.  Label the boxes with bold legible writing on white card stock.  I would underline the main area or thing and write below it the contents in the box to make things easy to find without digging in all the boxes.

    For example:

    CANDY BUFFET
    candy
    scoops
    labels
    decorative lights

     I also brought a small box with things like candle lighters, sissors, tape, pens.  They came in handy.
